s**tter, going through insurance or he paying cash?

Going through insurance, Just doin what my dad tells me really since ive never been in here before the boy was wantin me to go get qoutes myself n he would pay but i dont have time to go run around as i work 8 till 5 and plus i need the car for work :/

It might be cheaper to pay for it yourself instead of losing no claims and paying the excess etc. Gutted though :(

I'm not sure, I think any claim affects it slightly even if it's not your fault, although don't quote me on that. I guess it depends how long you've been driving and your age too on how badly it will affect it.

when i was hit up the rear end in my new elise although it wasnt my fault my ins co still put the price up when i came to renew!!! thats bloody elephant for you :(

so i switched companys and saved my self about 500.00

he should be putting it through on his insurance. and if not, get him to pay. otherwise itll come up on your insurance in future and will cost you more when you renew

Hope you get it sorted soon!
I was nearly hit outside my local Tesco today, luckily I swerved to miss!!

It looks worse than what you described in the other thread bud.

It'll be recorded on your insurance as a non-fault claim I think, but don't quote me on that. I nearly got hit going round a mini-roundabout the day, good thing I got my horn fixed!

At least with the scrape on your door you'll finally get the paint fixed :rasp:

Sorry to hear about your run into.... Mom got run into a couple of moths back, we chased who hit us but it was dark and he cut his lights...... We memorised the t**ts reg and chasedd him up then we put petrol in his diesel tank... muhahahahha

that is very childish agith,

not so good to hear baout hte crash mate, the wheels should be ok, i hope every thing is declared on the insurance, but at least the old boy is taking the blame

get him to pay, that way both happy no one loses no claims!

Im going to see him tomoz and hell take me to a spray shop he knows the guy or somin, what i want to know is what should i be looking for them to do ??? Respray the full front pannel and door or just touch ups ?

Get him to spray the whole thing, dont accept anything less!

If the guy doesn't play ball take it to another garage, it's your choice as to where your car is repaired at.

Yeah just want to know if there are any sprayers on here that would be able to tell me what to look for when im up there ??? cause im really goin in there blind

Are you looking for advice as to how they should be doing it or the price it should roughly
be? I'm a sprayer and in our garage any panels affected are completely re-sprayed, as spraying a small amount and trying to fade the colour in always ends up looking gash.

Yeah just what would be involved in fixing the damage up really and a rough price would be great mate.
