Not bad that reminds me of college and my first 5gt in standard guise they were the days, wrote it off tho oopps. By the way that 5 has been silly low at the rear at some point I can tell by the circular indents in inner rear arches.

i dont get why that would mean that. its just the arches need taking off and putting back on mate, the panels are very fragile lol

yes mate they are, thanks, rs turbo recaros are my favourite seat

i still have my original seats and they are in great condition people keep telling me to put them in, but their there when i want to

one recomendation is a Forge FMIC http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=160101&product=FMINTR5T (fits behind standard bumper)

Then move that open cone filter in the standard intercoolers place away from the roasting hot turbo.

well its been a while since iv been on cliosport

bit of progress in the past couple of months.

iv got an engine there that has been rebuilt, new pistons, liner seals, reground crank, lightend and balanced flywheel. ported head and inlet manifold.

so got the engine out, my old engine was a dirty old thing! oil leaking from every were. as you can see the bay is quite a mess!

also the gear box

with a bit of gunk and elbow grease it started taking shape

then paint time

got the subframe, wishbones etc powder coated and bushed, new track rod ends/ball joints

bought quite a lot of parts for the engine restoration, still waiting for more to arrive

the plan is to have the bay looking 0e+

while the engine was out why not give the girl a lick of paint? :rasp:

well thats pretty much it so far, hopefully have a lot more progress in these next few weeks, the snows been bad and slowing sh*t down!

lol clearly you have never owned a 5, only difference between a raider and a normal gt turbo is the colour and raider written on the back window

Brilliant motors !!


Heres a few of my totally original 89

Ive just fitted a new turbo and gas flowed head + ancileries, rebuilt and rejetted the carb ( 2nd stage jet to 1.1mm ) and its running a fairly modest 146 bhp. Although not a great amount by todays standards but the power to weight ratio makes it a very quick little machine.

Well it's been a while since iv updated.

Got the engine in now, drive shafts back in, hopefully all sorted in a few weeks

How it looks at the mo, oe+

Going to buy a front mount as it's too tight with the big group N filter for the double cap cooler
