Renaultsport 172 Cup 1998cc 3 door

with 15k on the clock .

first of all i didt think it had abs ?

and what is it worth ?

warrenty till the end of sept this year.....

responses asap please as its urgent.

many thanks

Justin.

They don't have abs and they had climate as an option not aircon.
Check were the multiple airbags are as Cups don't have side airbags in the seats.
£6.5~7k?

No it doesn't have ABS. I would check the Aircon as well, possible but unlikely.

Based on those details its supposed to be £9200 from a dealer, or £8000 private. Mine is 3 months newer but has 4k extra on it and I've had no interest at £7800, so I would suggest £8k is possibly too high.

52? I assumed it was Sept 2003 based on the warranty. Warranty should have ran out last September then, unless they are extending it for you.

In that case, knock about £500 off those prices I mentioned above.

  Turbos.
I doub that, just the dealer made a mistake with the ad, not exactly uncommon...

I'd say it's worth £7.5k.

  Turbos.
What's the difference between climate and air con though? I had a 1.216v with air con and a 172 with climate, i can't remember any difference. With both of them you put auto on and all it does is put the fans on full blast!

  Pink & Blue 182, JDM DC2
Climate you can set the temperature to say 21 and it stays there all the time, air con you set it to cold and when it gets too cold you have to adjust it yourself.

Low miles.

I'd say it's worth 7k, maybe a bit more if it does have climate.

about right tbh , but the climate control is not normal , defo an add on , no abs , no traction control . so get the proper spec b4 u go ahead .;) only air bag on the dash , steering wheel , no multibags .lol . only thing i can think its a full fat with cup things ?

Out of interest (talking about spec), does anyone have a 5 seater Cup? I only have two legal seats in the rear but apparently some have a 3rd seatbelt as they had to put one in. Bit odd I thought as I have one of the last 200 made in December 2003.

Yep there one. It was a dealers fited car after an owner complain he wasn't made aware that there wasn't 3 rear belts so the dealership (on behalf of Renault) put the third rear full belt in.
I'm not sure how the bill was split (the onwer didn't pay) I think the parts were supplied free from Renault and the dealership paind for fitment.

  X-172 Cup
somewhere ITRO 7-8K where 8k is retail, 7k private sale minimum
Looking @ the market on Cups they are all over the place @ the moment, some small traders are selling @ trade money, dealers selling less than some private sellers.

Know this, the 172 is a Hot Hatch so be prepared to pay more for a low mileage, cherished standard example, like mine ;) (which is NOT for sale)

IMHO I would be prepared to pay £7500 for an excellent 2002 20k 172 Cup standard no mods, if you are buying private get it HPI'd and professionally inspected.
