RENAULTS PRICE 2 FIX SUNROOF

went into renault today just to see how much it would cost to stop sunroof from creakin on my x reg clio rsi (its electric which supposedly is a mass difference)

they want £600, just to stop it makin a noise! the service woman sed it was only that much because they dont normally have problems with the electic sun rooves!

looks like ill have to put up with it

lol renault dont normally have problems with sqeaking electric sunroofs? lol wheres ur dealer based the middle of india? every renault dealer has come across this..

Sounds like a typical Renaulr dealership response. Mine hadnt ever had a Clio back with the airbag warnig light or sunroof.

so do renault try and stop that bloody annoying creaking noise? mines not electric but suffers badly from the creaking... will they stop it? if so how much for a manual sunroof?

on my 03 reg, it had the creaky sunroof. Took it in, said about it. They told me there was a mod out to fix it, and to book it in and theyd sort it no probs. Which they did

Oh! I didnt realise the electric sunroofs caused problems! I thought it was only the manual ones!

Mines silent, but if I ever need to take it in Ill remember what Louise said!!

what a load of crap!!!! 3 clios in my family a 51 , 52 , and 03 all had electric sunroofs replaced, the 03 one has been in twice after replacement!

yea its an arse cus mine isnt under warrantee! where can i get it fixed cus renault are just robbing b******s! i dont want a new sun roof and all the electrics (which is wot the quote is for) i just want it to shut the f up!

I like the way they dont know the cause of the problem yet happily give you a quote, id ring round the dealerships and non-franchise specialists.

I think id get a new seal and have a go myself before paying that! had mine done under warrenty and seems to be cured for now.

hmm... mines just outside its 3 yr warranty but bought it used from renault so have 12 month used car warranty... will it be covered under this dya reckon?

i would guess so! i know reanault birmingham are good at things like that! not sure about other garages!
