Renaultsport air conditioning query!

Hi, I've just got off the phone to a mobile air conditioning company,

They've informed me that "apparently" Renaultsport's tend to need the AC re-gassed and serviced every 10-12 months due to the high pressure of oil, or something or another.

Am I being fobbed off? In total fairness, the AC isn't blowing cold air like it should so I think it is in need of a service/regass.

If its not cold odds are you'll need it regassed.

I've never heard of them needing to be regassed periodically though.

Just spoke to my mate who's a mechanic and he's given my the thumbs up for it. If it was a case of re-fitting parts he advised I go direct to Renault though.

Bennno - have you had yours re-gassed before?

Mines a 2003 Clio and AFAIK its never had the Air Con regassed and its still cold enough to allow me to 'cut glass' with my hardend Nips

I had my sport for over 3 years never had it regassed and its still blowing cold air.. guess it depends how often it gets used.
