Renaultsport steering wheel fitted to 182, but problem with warning lights!

I've read as many threads as I can find with the search option on this one but can't find an answer to my question.

Fitted renault sport (sabelt) steering wheel yesterday, and connected the horns fine, but got a problem with airbag light etc. The Momo boss cam with what appears to be a 2 amp fuse with 2 wires out of it to connect to the airbag connection to turn the light out. However, my airbag had two sets of wires going to it, and no matter which I connect it to the light doesn't go out. I assume I need 2 but has anyone done this before?

Also since taking it off my traction control light has come on (but that's all good as I always turn it off anyway), but a more worrying development is now the abs light is on, and definitely not working. Not so keen on that.

Anyone got any ideas? If I can just get another fuse (assume this adds more resistance to system, but thought it was resistors that were meant to be used) then I'll do it today - if not I'll ring the supplier of the boss for their advice tomorrrow.

I have never seen the abs or traction control lights come on with my 197 wheel, only the airbag and the other warning light that comes on with it.

As far as im aware the M3R3 resistor from maplin works to turn the air bag light off.

How easy is it to fit a 197 steering wheel to a 172 ?

I've now got the resistors in and the airbag light has gone off. The horns are correct and all tidied up with shrinkwrap, but got the abs light and traction control light on. Not sure what's gone wrong....might be a trip to renault although I'd rather avoid that!

Anyone got any ideas what it could be?

ABS light? weird. tried fiddling with the wires under the drivers seat in case you've knocked em by accident..?

Nope not that - I think that would usually trigger the airbag light which is firmly out since adding in the resistors. Also tried leaving the battery disconnected for 30 mins or so to see if that would reset the abs stuff but that didn't work either!

Found a thread that mentions something about a steering wheel sensor - I've no idea what this si, so if no-one else can shed any light on it then it's a trip to the local renault dealer...

ive just fitted a omp wheel and got the same problem on my 182 did u manage to fix it?
