Where did you get the HU? any idea if you can connect a connect 2 for the iphone?

You can not buy Becker HU anymore mate, i bought it from a CS member as i wanted something "low key" but good quality. This Becker HU seems to fit the bill.

Chavvy is bunging two 15inch bins in the back of a 1.1 206 'bassin' it out down the local highstreet.

Putting a nice quality 10 inch install in the boot to give the sound quality a bit of a boost is the right way of doing it and the way Scott will be doing it.

For now ill be replacing the Renault speakers, my choice will be JL, Focal, Hertz or Rockford Fosgate and the high end of there product ranges.

To achieve the sound quality i want a sub is going to be a must tbh, whatever i get will be as low key as possable so no bright red rubber edges to the sub or blue LED's lighting the box up.

The car will not be going anywhere near Halfords, thats for sure.

Ive seen one or two on ebay but not this model and alot more than I payed.

Apparently the Porsche owners go mad for them.

So this weekend i wasn't needed to work and as the weathers been epic it ment that i could do a few more bits on the Clio.
1st up was to fit the new plastic cambelt cover.

The old one was cracked in a few places so a new one was bought from renault.

New one ready to be fitted.

I also bought a new crank damper pulley as the old one had a few cracks in the rubber, tbh it would have been ok but meh i don't want to risk anything going wrong with this engine.

Now this has been pissing me off for the last four years of owning the car.
Every time i look down it bugs the hell out of me.

So new one was bought, should be fitting it tomo.

So continued to put the engine bay back together, gave a few bits a paint in sliver.

Air con pipe.

Gave the rad fan a clean then fitted it back to the rad.

Spark plug where given a clean and fitted, torque to 27nm then i fitted my new HT leads.

Everything is fitted back to the engine, put coolant in it today. Just waiting on the upper inlet coming back from the paint shop then it can be started.

How its left, once its running i will get the air con guy to come to the house and re gas it.

Today ive finished it off, just waiting on the inlet now so i can get it running. Fingers crossed it will be with my by friday.

Fitted the alternator today after giving it a paint yesterday, bloody thing proberely won't work now flol.

I couldn't find the alternator top bolt, after a bit of head scratching i had put it into the aux belt idler pulley.

Swapped it over with the short one i had left.

The bits that need finishing are, to clean and fit the long AC hose and to give my front brake discs a clean as they have gone very rusty and i want to give the calipers a lick of paint.

It would be nice to see 190 but the ones I've seen so far have been 180+

I did John, you are correct.

However when I got it back from the painter's it had been damaged in 3 place's.
Its been sent back to be done again, hopefully ill have it back before the weekend.

Cheers Morgan, the slam panel is being fitted back mate, ive left it off untill I get it running.
Once everything is ok then ill finish off putting the rest of the bits back on.

Also im getting a mobile air conditioning guy to the house to give it a re-gas which will be easier with the bumper off, if there is any leaks then it can be fixed.

Tbh I did polish the ac pipes up last year before CSS so it only took a few minutes to get shiny again.

So today i had to drive to my work to collect the upper inlet and fitted everything back.

1st turn of the key and it fired up, very happy as now i can give Paul a call.
