Silver the ultimate stealth colour?

Anyone with silver Rs's find it the ultimate stealth colour? I'm constantly amazed how very rarely I get raced by people which is rather boring! On the plus side I never seem to get any trouble from the law either - twice this year I have gone past parked up but occupied police cars at approaching warp speed and not a flicker! Often wonder if i would have been pulled in liquid yellow or that gorgeous blue colour. Spose the only people who would know for sure are those that have owned both!....

I'd say its more to do with the amount of other silver cars on the road that they blend in more . Just stop and look how many other cars are silver , common as fcuk now .When i bought my first RS i chose silver with a little help from my mates advice , then it seemed that world and his dog was driving a silver car , lol .

Completely agree mate, since i bought my Silver 172 i havent been pulled over once. I am a lil baby-face and i've passed Coppas at a ridiculour pace and not a thing (touch wood). Also i find it massively hard to get a race... sayin that its a ClioSport and most kids just cant keep up! Nicest Colour by far...

I always think bright coloured cars, like liquid yellow are a beacons for traffic cops with speed cameras. Unlike silver.

Totally agree , silvers not a bad colour , just after i bought mine 4.5 years ago it seemed like everybody was starting to buy a silver car , lol . It was one of the reasons i bought an arctic blue 182 cos they're not as common round here .

Tbh , i think all the colours in the rs range look good , its definitely one of the things Renault got right , except for not making a white one which would have looked mint imo .

I've got a Monaco Blue one but haven't seen any problems from the police. Do get the odd chav trying to race me though.....

Iv got a scarab green 172 and i swear no one on the road knows what kind of clio it is. i never get a race and when i do its with some chav in a saxo :boring:.

on the plus side i never get any bother what so ever with the coppers.

my first car was a black cinquechento with top speed of about 5mph and was forever getting pulled by the police for a range of toally wierd reasons. like, "i looked suspicious?" wtf?

maybe the police cant tell the differance between a common 1.2 and a 172 so just leave us alone.

Only got stopped once in my silver clio over a 12 month period, as I forgot to turn my fogs off when I got on the motorway. But I have been stopped twice in two days in my black 182, within the last month. (Reason for being stopped - routine vehicle inspection !!!!!)

I've never been stopped once in my silver 172 (apart from when I was speeding), even though I have limo tinted rear windows and probably-too-dark fronts.

Passed plenty of coppers taking a butchers too.
