Some cun* scratched my Trophy

Hello,

Today somes t**t scratched my trophy. It 10 inch long, it looks like it's been keyed. It's on the near side front wing. Im gutted.

Anyone got any ideas on how to repair it. I dont want to respray the whole wing as im afraid the colour wount match.

How are these companys? www.smartautorepairs.com & www.chipsawawy.co.uk. Anyone had any work done from these guys?

Any comments would be much appreciated

Don't use smart repair companies. Take it to a proper bodyshop to get done. If you're really worried about the colour not matching you'll have to get the door painted to the blend the colour aswell.

It depends how good the one in your area is, its a francise company. So you may get a really good one or a terrible one. Its very hit/miss

I used chips away or a similar mobile company for keyage on my old black gold 182 and was really happy with the results.

I also had the other rear quarter and bonnet keyed on the same car about a year previously, and did it through insurance so the whole panels were sprayed - and i was not impressed as the paint came up flat after a few weeks and there was overspray.

personally i'd go for chips away style stuff these days.

I would have given my left nut to see the person in the middle of scratching my car. That by it self would have made my day, so I can get the excuse to hurt him very badly!

Personally wouldn't touch chips away or have a smart repair done.. Look and ask around for a recomended bodyshop would be my plan of action if I were you fella..
