Stealthy 182 Progress Thread...

So...

it begins!

I've gone from this.. 175+bhp 1.8 Corsa SRi - my favourite car i've ever owned.. would buy this back in a heartbeat.. miss it alot! was running 4-2-1 decat manifold and system, dblias inlet manifold, dblias flowmaster intakes, Sports cams, and mapped.. sounded like an absolute beast.. rough idle and popped and banged.. + countless other mods, won 2010 CCUK Fast show Feature car and a separate feature award on the CCUK forum

to this.. the S3...the 'orrible petrol drinking slut..
cost an absolute forutune.. but was running a massive spec forged engine..

so after replacing £x amount of pounds worth of stuff on the s3 and finally getting it working as it should i sold it on.. no love for that car.. put me through hell but it should be mint now for the new owner :/

now i was looking for something fun... like the corsa.. bit more potential.. small hatch..

maybe do the odd track day..

which led me to this..

which i collect next thursday

I intend to keep it very much OEM+, subtle mods, low, black and stealthy...

but we'll see what happens

I'm ridiculously sad and spend ages and £££ on cleaning/detailing/servicing my cars.. so il have it looking like a mirror in the first week after i pick it up

but hey if you look after them they'll look after you..!

yeah I am, i left after I lost an argumen with some black ice last winter. My tag was UltraSRi, as mine was an ultra blue sri it seemed to make sense.

haha fair play i think ive seen a few old members on here already!

spent most of yesterday painting my badges up black, blacked the front grill, painted the calipers, LED fogs, interior lights and sidelights and fitted a K&N 57i induction kit

TRS tow strap on order tonight and off to John Ashleys tomorrow for a full exhaust system and weather permitting its getting a full detail!

carbon fibre wrap shall be ordered soon too along with new style renaultsport badges pressed plates and wind deflectors

not bad start considering i've owned it less than 4 days

yeah love the paint its a real nice black! better than the audi by far think its the subtle mods that make it not a chav-tastic halfords drive thru

so whipped the badges grills and old airbox out...

K&N 57i goes in

grills and badges get some treatment

calipers got a lick of paint too whilst i was at it..

LED fogs fitted... still waiting for LED sidelights from ebay!

so after all that and overnight drying next to the radiator the grills were fitted

oh and the rear badge too

back together... apologies for the filth! it just aint black car weather!!

later on i fitted my TRS tow strap which the royal fail kindly delivered..

this however made me realise when i took this picture how grey the inside of my lights were.. going to be splitting them this week and then spraying them up too..
also gotta make a trip to ashleys for my new exhaust system

i dont really like them how they are at the moment too much.. looks better than standard but i think would suit darker wheels..

few cheeky snaps after a wax the other day

those headlights so need to be black it hurts! just gotta wait till i got a couple of days off to do them properly! split them apart.. spray the inserts black.. fit my HIDs from the corsa into the main beam.. just need to buy some 6k/8k hid bulbs to go with..

Not sure about the black headlights, but you did a great job on the corsa (i think that's the first modded corsa that I've actually liked), so I shall reserve judgement!

haha cheers buddy! i think thats true of all black cars tho! still if its anything im pretty sure i have some kind of car cleaning OCD.. cant stand having a dirty car..so it kind of works out

unless its like a land rover or something that begs to be covered in crap
