Stealthy 182 Progress Thread...

glad i've finally seen someone with an LCR splitter on a 182. I've had one sat in my garden from my VAG days for almost 2 years. Its finally found a purpose!

Also, the cupra splitter looks great, something different to the fabia/cup splitter.

so today i got bored.. and sucked into advertising and went to halfrauds and got ripped off '3 for 2' styles

so spent most of today giving it the works.. scratch remover then renevator with some murs hybrid wax on the top

nom nom nom <3

so after all that hard work went to the tesco to take some pics.. managed to get about 10 photos before both of my SLRs batteries went flat

god damn facebook compression ruining my photos :'(

still here we have the painted cupra splitter..

smoked lights.. erm.. thats about it visually..

still the other day after alot of cuts and swearing managed to successfully port my inlets with a dremel.. yes.. for a seemingly small job it took the piss to do!

ive also removed the acoustic valve and replaced it with a CAF to the lower grill.. all in all it seems to like being able to breathe a bit better with these mods.. when i first started it it was revving high..(i presume because of the new amounts of oxygen it could now gulp) and after a few seconds it adjusted itself.. taking it for a little blast round some back roads it seems much better!

you should have your headlight interior re-sprayed in black .... and then .... you'll have bat-mobile ps. it's fantastic...!!!!!!

not really that much tbh.. jus the centre clips need to be trimmed down and the sides trimmed a little then screwed into the bottom of the bumper with self tapping
screws

and yeah did the insides black and painted the indicator reflectors black inside.. looks alot better IMO

First some before shots which tbh are horrible!! makes me cringe! clearly alot of automatic car washes from the previous owner!!!

so the detail began... 0930 and ended at 2030 =/

first pass with the polish..

another.. looking better!! obviously tired paint on the left.. polished on the right..

so.. after some lime prime.. various chemical boy polishes the paint came out like this..

not bad.. time for a coat of dodo juice blue velvet and some poorboys blackhole as a glaze..

wheels booked in for monday for refurb.. still dont know what to have in honesty!! dark anthricite or stay black!!!!

put em in.. heat the plastic and then give it some loving with a screwdriver

i say keep the black looks brilliant, as for a spoiler have you not thought about a trophy/v6 one to be different to a cup spoiler? just a thought

Looks stunning, stealth is a great theme! And in my opinion your wheels look perfect in black, so I'd keep them like that if I was you

Doesn't everything supercharged look stealth ? Plus nice car but a cs is never gonna be stealthy they are far too noticeable

well spose another small update.. fixed my headlight brackets after a small altercation with a rabbit on a country road..

wheels are done.. dark anthricite.. not too sure on them yet! well... I love them but im not sure if i prefer them to the black.. il get some pics up.. they may go black again yet!

bought a cup spoiler too! off shwebb on here.. just need to buy a new brake light from renault for it and get it sprayed up.. should be done by the end of the week..

dewipering it tomorrow too..

cup spoiler gone to painting should be able to get it on tomorrow ordered a new brake light from renault too as the one that was in it had cracked slightly.. just so its mint.. most people probably wouldn't notice or care but im proper picky!

well another update.. been a while!!.. after failing miserably on the map front after JMS shut down and Henk stopped making RS Tuners I got bored and money started burning a hole...then i saw a set of turinis that caught my eye..picking them up tomorrow and delivering them to Sweeney & Sherlock Birmingham to get refurbished.. (possibly the best ive ever used and quite well priced.. proper powdercoat job with all the treatments)

.. still have no idea what colour.. im really tempted to go for black again!!!!!!

anyway even then there is progress! and Turinis to go on before the end of the week!

Cup spoiler on and petrol cap repainted by Spice paints (absolutely mint job would highly recommend!!) and replaced the old cracked brake light with a new unit .. almost £40 later! thanks renault!

So picked up the turinis today

bit worse for wear.. good tyres on two and the other two will need replacing.. rattle can finish on them too with the paint flaking off..

selling them dude! even tho i only got them refurbished in that colour like a month back ive just got no room for them.. at the moment i have like one on top of my fridge in the garage.. another on top of the toolstack.. its just not working out! lookin for £200 for them

It's all about having a cleaning obsession ! haha! LED fogs are an ebay special only about a tenner but quite good quality!
