Swap 197 F1 17" wheels for Megane F1 18"s?

I dont even know if this is possible but there's something bugging me about my wheels. Ever since seeing the megane f1 (my mates got one) I think they'd look AMAZING on mine. Just that 1" would make a massive difference i feel, they're almost the same style, slighly more agressive looking. Any thoughts? Any input welcome, tell me if i'm being silly...

agree with you, the extra inch could make all the difference. K-tec have 18s on their 197 and it looks brilliant!

they are suprisingly reasonable actually, they have reduced the price, don't quote me, but I think around £125 a wheel, they used to be £230

Happy days, i blagged my mate into swapping them over for half an hour so i could see what would happen. Took it to a local tyre place and they performed the operation, i'll try and post the pics in a minute.

on detailing world there is a black mk3 same as yours i think and he has the 18 megane wheels in gloss black, looks mint imo!

the tyres are obviously too big but that'll be sorted when i get my own fresh set (tomorrow hopefully) I'd be interested to suggestions on tyres, they're gonna be 35's i think, stick to conti 3's? Gloss black would look slick! I'm thinkin it's too much for me tho, i'm an anthracite addict.

Thanks mate! definitely help reassure me i'm doing the right thing, i dont like to mess with things but the megane wheels have just gotta be done! They're ordered, £472 inc vat and should arrive monday. I'm having real difficulty with the rubber choice but i'm gonna sweet talk my local tyre place into trying a few pairs on

^ there was a set on pistonheads classifieds the other day, almost new wheels & tyres for 500 sheets. Not sure if they are still on there or not.

Pirelli P Zero Nero 225/35/18 should arrive today, my wheels came yesterday so they should be on by 2pm i'll put pics up. I spent a few hours yesterday polishing the bodywork in preparation. i'm scared!
