Talk to me about rollcages.

  182 Trophy
A rollcage would be the next step for me, and certainly one that'll be high on the priority if the Clio performs well at Silverstone in February.

I want to keep my options open regarding competition, so whatever I consider should be FIA certified (or equivalent) and blue book compliant.

Initially, it's use would be restricted to auotests, sprints and track days - none of which require a cage, I know but safety is a big factor and I'd like to move on to getting some buckets and harnesses (something I refuse to do without a cage).

What are my options on cages? Weld-in is probably preferable, but if possible (legally, that is) id like a bolt in drivers cross bar that could be removed for daily use (3 miles a day - not currently sufficient to warrant a third car!).

Pictures of any suggestions installed would be good, along with an idea of price.

Bolt in cages and removable door bars are fine as long as the fixings comply with bluebook/FIA. Bolt in cages still need to have plates welded to the chassis under the feet.

I've got an OMP one (AB/105P/220H), it is fine - they have updated them recently to comply with new regs and they are now much better than they used to be. No longer dash dodgers.
