the only other colour to go is with the colour of the car, and i don't fancy that

I no its down to opinion and imo i would like to do it satin black, but i dont want to regret it once its done because its to dark ??:S

hmm doesnt actually seem to be as dull as i thought it would, it seems to reflect the light quiet well. aggggggh maybe i should go down this route?

Those shots look well professional mate.... It should be in a magazine or somethiiiiiiiiin!!!

The problem with the above statement is the sheer after effects that aren't taken into consideration. The fame that comes with a magazine shoot can sometimes be devastatingly overwhelming to the point of both job losses and family/relationship breakdowns. Notably the whords of screaming females at the front door when you are mearly trying to buy yourself the mornings paper. It's hard work being as famous as us more fortunate ones!!

i would be sourcing a rear window yes, don't really want to put the glass back in, kind of pointless, i just priced a rear screen up on P4P and for what i would want its coming out at £200.....wooohhhaaaa

So whilst at tdf yesterday after taking bummer up to see his car again I spotted this Radical SR8 splitter seems to fit well at least...

I was pretty keen so offered it up to bummers bumper for sizing, I am still considering it, am only worried about clearance issues, will be having more of a think.

So whilst up at the west mids karting meet today I thought I may aswell pop in to see the gus at rs fab to collect my airbox. I sent my airbox there a while back for some additions, just to make it that bit stronger. I will post my drawings and pics shortly but again I am extremely happy with what Russell and the guys at rs fab have done, tbh I am surprised they had time to do my box as they have 2 crazy projects going in an escort rs2000 and ae86 + others and then the fair bit of F1 stuff they seem to be doing... Can't recommend them enough.

as mentioned above/previously i collected my airbox from RS fabrications
the idea of the work was to just give the box a bit more support, it was thought the best way to do this would be to have support off the block to the rear of the box so when the block moves the box moves with it, i drew up a very quick indesign file and got it sent to Russell at RS fab.... looked a bit like this...

and i collected and it looks like this...

very happy, think it will do a very good job,
they also decided to do some other strengthening bits to the box like some double welding (inside and out) and a support bar at the base of the mounting face,

i am now going to look for some nice spongy gasket stuff for the mounting face of the box, possibly cork or something, i will post with what i come up with

That welding makes me feel like a little school girl! Cork might start to flake off if its getting wet and dry often, might be wrong though

Trident motorsport at Silverstone do a high density sticky back foam,it's very good,we used it for the camera mount.

Yes they live in the dark ages,I think the place next door to them do it as well,trying to remember the name ....Silverstone Factors LTD
I bet their site is rubbish as well,they rely on people going in and spending £1000 on special nuts and bolts etc.But they do do it,and its cheap.I could always pick some up for you.
