The Impreza picture and discussion thread

game on for tomorrow then? i have officially decided that after xmas, the cup is going and i'm buying a classic ra or similar!
 
Aye game on. Should be with me by midday tomo. Finish work at six then off for a drive and stop off at a few peoples houses along the way, cant wait :)
 
Fitting a new exhaust on my mates with him later. Forgot the brand name but I look forward to seeing what it sounds like
 
If anyone fancies a watch, there are some clips of my Impreza chasing my friends Muircilago LP640


For those that don't know, at the start of the month a few of us went out for a little drive. Starting off at Paul Stephen Porsche Specialist and ending up at the Classic & Sports car show in Bury St Edmonds.


We had an eclectic mix of machinery from stripped out hot hatches to the mighty Ferrari F40.


On boards include, The Bomber, LP640, F40, RWD Vtec mini, FQ360 and E90 M3.

just watched it! nice selection of cars lol, and your scooby fair shifts, hows it compare to the lambo on an open road?

Blob eye STI.
Taken off his cobra back box and replaced with a toyosport? 3" centre section and back box. It comes out on an angle now, looks loads better.

More of a rumble than before. Forgot to take pics :(

Actually Bill the Impreza is quicker. I was backing off when I got too close. Even with me on my pump fuel map, and having to use a manual gearbox.

I'd say up to 150mph'ish I'd monster the LP... After that, power, gearing and aero would see the LP disappear and I wouldn't stand a chance.

The sound of the V12 is something I could never compete with, Pete's one in particular has a sports exhaust (basically straight pipes) and sounds absolutely bonkers. He's a good mate and we have a laugh, I think if he upgrades to an Adventador I'll need a bigger blower and some race gas.

it looked that way but was hard to tell for sure, you must have a good laugh in that thing, nice motor!
 
Yeah, we all have a great crack with eachother. Everything from 500bhp escort cossies to Porsches and Lambos. We're all petrolheads and love a Sunday morning raid.
What I will say is that Pete's LP is stunning every day of the week, cruise, motorway, Hoon, shopping run, It doesn't matter. Whereas mine is really not a user friendly product every day of the week. It's loud, aggressive, clutch is set in concrete, seats are a pain to get in/out of. Transmission whines etc etc. That's the difference between a modified fast car and a genuine pedigree supercar.

However, on an early morning hoon supercar baiting. The Subaru is an absolute weapon!

Also, why would I need or want your furry baubles ?! I know you're from a funny part of the country, but cash will suffice. Ta.
 
Lol at all those ruined hatches with all that "hellaflush/canibeat" cak stuck all over them. Looks bloody awful.
Wouldnt handle a carpark track, or any proper power. Slightest bit of poke would have them spitting driveshafts out like dummies.

Don't get me wrong - personally I think it should be function over form, but something about that shape just suits the whole "stance" thing in my opinion.

Totally agree! It suits it well but just defeats it's purpose.
 
All that "Stance" rubbish should be left to all the fat Audi and Lexus barges that don't handle in the first place.
Sorry, but stretched tyres and crazy camber doesn't belong on an Impreza. Leave it to the euro nobs. :(
 
Agreed, An STi decked with silly stretch and ridiculous camber makes baby jesus cry.
 
Frayz your car is an absolute animal, so quick :). That p1 mmmm lovely. There's one popped up local to my work, haven't seen it but heard it fly past a few times. The flat four is such a nice noise
 
yeah spotted that. its still on ebay. looks good, i love those wheels on a classic.

all show no go...compromising the ability of the car for the sake of fashion is ghey.
 
Right, fuel.

£67.13 to fill up at 144.9p/litre.
Had done 64 miles before I went to Birmingham today and it now has 276 which is just under quarter of a tank. (So say 300 miles all in)

Thats about 29mpg mainly motorway driving. Not too bad IMO.
