Much better than the standard ones aren't they!

Technically speaking the sticker is on the subframe, and their not lying. That is pair number 454 of 500 sets of Trophy subframes ;)

4 hours ? :S to disconnect a battery, unclip the wiring harnesses, remove 4 bungs, undo 8 nuts, lift seats out, drop new ones in, put on the 8 nuts back on, replace bungs, reconnect harnesses and battery. Seems a little excessive or are trophy seats radically different and require modding to fit ?

Worst pictures ever LOL

Just the only really unique component from the Trophy to get now to make it a blue Trophy then Dave!

I was thinking the same mate! I guess he means including travelling time as Dave is from Essex!

Dave, what is the difference? Would you reccommend getting some Recaro's? Are they worth the extra ££££?

I will post "proper pictures" (!) when I have cleaned the car and that. I sorted the seats out tonight with a vac and some Zymol leather and vinyl stuff but it was dark by the time I was done! Watch this thread!

I'm sure yozza will explain the 3-4 hour fitting scenario but it was not easy believe me. Cramped garage, pissing down with rain outside, and the drivers seat just would not work. Had all sorts of worrys about the runners etc dont forget I took a bit of a risk on these as they ARE salvage.

The drivers seat had to come in and go out 3 times as the runners just werent in the right places. As they were offset, one of them was a notch out or something so the whole seat locked. Then there was a random bit of plastic causing the seat to lock...not good.

Got it all sorted now though.

As for how they compare...they hold the body far better. They are more comfortable. They look ace yet are still standard ish.

Rear set passengers are a nightmare. The seats are a different shape and seem bigger. They also seem to force the pelvis forward meaning that when carrying back seat ppl, I use to be able to grin and bear moving my seat forward for a little while. Forget it with these I think. And the tilt and slide mechanism isnt as smooth as the OE seats.

And I have airbag lights on that no Renault dealer will clear on the clip even though my pretensioners clearly work. So Im off to portsmouth next week to see Mike @ Rentech.

ANYWAY, those are your postives and negatives!

They do look the nuts.....

And they are some much more supportive than standards.....

After youve had them a while dave, go for a drive in a normal 182... to you will realise then how much better they are!!

it looks SO much better in the 182... everything matches and blends in so nice

And Dave, there appears to be a bit gap in the seat? ;)

I'm still settling into them just now. Feel great in just a t-shirt. Bit restrictive when you start wearing coats and big jumpers and the like. Will clean the car soon and post full pics!
