Sorry mate that emoji is a yeah, don’t tell anyone 😁
Sorry mistook it for a confused, hand touching chin emoji. Nice buy btw. I went to see it when it was up for auction last year. What are your plans for it? Is it rot free?

Bodywork, interior, engine bay are like a 2 year old car apart from the smallest bit of bubbling at the bottom of an arch. Bit of surface rust on a few bits underneath, bottom arm, driveshaft, shocks that I’ll be replacing over time.

Was the seller ok with the price he sold it at?

Never seen one go here and i have broken over 15 ph1s in my time.

Dressed it back and treated the rust, ready for my welder to inspect and decide how to proceed.

Nice to see another one saved. I bet of the 15 or so you broke in the past many were in better condition in terms of rust?

There was actually one that was worse than this which had a roof tile fall on its roof when it was 3 months old and was repaired not written off but the work was shocking.
However, this PH1 is a keeper for me
Currently stock piling parts whilst i await delivery of my LSD :D

Offering up some new wheels, Renault 19 Speedlines. I know they’re a bit marmite, but I like them and think they suit the early ph1. Plus they were local and too cheap not to! Going in for a refurb soon, think these will look better in a matte light silver or an off-white. Not sure if anthracite will suit them…

I will be pulling it out of storage and getting a listing sorted soon but feel free to message me if you are interested in the mean time.

Decided to fit the OEM side strips over the weekend on the flamer, carried on today and fitted the OEM door handles, car is dirty from sitting on the side of the road but it's looking good.

Am off to the Cars & Coffee at Bicester in the Clio on Sunday morning anyone else going down?

Cheers

This is the worse thread on the forum. I hate it.
Makes me want to get my Ph1 in a showroom condition again and a full restoration work on it. Or buy another one and do what I said I would do with my current one and make it standard with a few nice extras and restored until I lost the plot and put ITBs on it.

Mine needs paint and I always wonder if I should change it to odyssey blue. It’s my favourite colour for them. Had an option to buy one about 10 years ago, should have done it.

Do like the gear gaiter on yours.

Looks great on track, what suspension are you running? Need to make a decision on what to buy/fit to mine got a leaking rear shock that needs replacing
I’ve got Bilstein B14’s on mine. They are good and do the job well for what I use my car for. But if I were to do it again I’d go for BC Racing coil overs. Had them on my old Ph1 and just had a set fitted to my Z3 and they just feel a lot better.

Shouldn't have sold my B14's 😂 thought it was a good idea at the time, interesting about the BC's, see them used on lots of other cars, are they a similar kind of price to the B14's? Mines probably not going to see track time just road/fast road
