throttle bodies

iv decided to get me car sorted this week cos its drivin me mad....

arnolde clarke have had me car on the diognostics and have come to the conclusion my TBs need changing. As i have no idea what these are i need to ask a few questions before they have me of with a quoted neerly 600 quid to change .

could my TBs be linked to me clio ticking over and then sticking at 2k now and again?

Could they make tick over sometimes feel dead lumpy?

is ther a cheaper option than getin riped by arnolde clarke?

i was thinking about getin the Tbs meself and taking it to a recomended garage. anyone know wer i could source one from and what price id be looking at? also any recomended garages around widnes/warrington.
