As some of you may know already,i had an accident in my Cup & hit a barrier.In a nutshell,Raining very early cold morning on AD80rs (close to the limit) back end stepped out going up a banking corner.Still Drives fine tho,just wasnt worth me repairing,So decide on getting a 182 but in Silver.

So i found one and got up early on a Sat morning to head to south wales.

So this one is on 53k 2 owners & one of the very last ones & standard,previous owner also has a lovely Mars Red V6.

So plan is to get all the good bits off the cup & transfer onto the 182 then break or sell the cup as a whole car.

I actually have to agree

My Rota's look a bit naff in Gloss black, you lose the edges of the wheel and you can't see the details

 

I’m not getting involved. I’ve been looking for wheels solidly for almost a month and still found nothing I’m 100% happy with.

 

Thats why im looking for a 2nd hand set ideally so can get them painted,my pros looked good on my cup tho.

But then also agree at some points they look lost and could be any wheel

So the thought on 2nd hand wheels & Slipstreams have gone out the window.

With Help from @frayz i have also bought a set of the Evocorse X3MA Alloy Wheels in Anthracite.

Only thing now is to decide on what tyres to go for,at the mo its still the AD08'S.

Looks great Steve, such a small thing but makes a big difference, agree it looks much better, and I like that it is an OE finish and not painted. Nice job.

It does mate,makes it look more oe and not like someone else has painted it with the silver.Shows up the dials more also i think with an old skool touch @ZachB

Not really anything to update,apart from my new wheels should arrive soon.Just need to decide on PS3's or go semi slick tyres🤔

Went to Caffeine & Machine yesterday with a few mates,so here are a few photos from C&M & some from on my way home.Was bit of a let down this time to C&M,but guess thats down to C19.Still good to be out with some mates tho.

So i Finally found a non sticky climate control panel,last piece to fit out of the non sticky parts.So much better & cleaner looking with no faded worn out buttons.

Other news is,my new wheels have arrived.Cant wait to fit them next spring.So i will be coating them in Gtechniq C5 & most likely be fitting new AD08RS tyres.

Just been playing about with a couple of photos i have taken tonight of the 182 under its new light.

In other news,not to much.Ive just been rebuilding a set of calipers & painting them ready to go on soon,also have fitted a all Black quick release NRG steering wheel boss,nice bit of kit and brings the wheel closer.

 

You can't say fitted new parts and not show pics!!

I've looked at qr bosses before but they all look a bit s**t. That one looks very smart though. Do you gave a centre horn button or is it on the stalk? That was another thing that put me off getting one.

Yes mate it has connections so you can wire up the horn,but i have a phase1 stalk so dont need to & yeah its good quality i think.Its good as looks subtle

Not much to update really apart from a Dirty Clio up in the Lakes from this weekend.

I have a few jobs to do but,holding them off till maybe the Christmas break or even spring.

-Poly Arb Bushes
-Rebuilt & painted calipers to fit (will get mintex M1144 all round also)
-Solution Finish Trim
-Fit new alloys & tyres
-Seal new alloys
-Oil & Filter change
-Deep Clean

 

Got to seal my new alloys during this Christmas break.Just waiting on some good deals to pop up during the Jan Sales for a set of PS3's.Cant wait to get these on.

Other little job i have done is to fit a new Windscreen Washer Pump & 2x new fuel injectors.Also a clean up on the top of the gearbox,was so shitty.

A While ago i got contacted by a fella who works or owns Motorpunk,about if he could use a couple of my photos in his book.I got the book as a Christmas present & pretty cool to have two of my photos in his book,good book also to use for future photo locations.

 

Is that 3 sets of wheels now mate? Be worse than my wife soon with what shoes to wear 😂
