As some of you may know already,i had an accident in my Cup & hit a barrier. In a nutshell,Raining very early cold morning on AD80rs (close to the limit) back end stepped out going up a banking corner.Still Drives fine tho, just wasnt worth me repairing,So decide on getting a 182 but in Silver.

So i found one and got up early on a Sat morning to head to south wales.

So this one is on 53k 2 owners & one of the very last ones & standard, previous owner also has a lovely Mars Red V6.

So plan is to get all the good bits off the cup & transfer onto the 182 then break or sell the cup as a whole car.

Couple of Photos of the Cups damage

Would you mind letting me know where you got the X3MA wheels from, please? I've been considering a set as something a bit stronger than similar options, these being aimed at tarmac rallying. Evo corse are saying the weight is more like 7KG. I'll weigh one if I get them!

Got another job done off the list today, one that i have been dreading a bit.Fitted the inner poly arb bushes, lucky i was able to use a ramp today at marks work place while he trial fitted my wheels on his.Was not bad of a job really, only hard thing was getting the bolts back in place, but apart from that was ok,feck doing it on the ground tho, nightmare.

Ive ordered the outer ones & they should take no time to fit, then i will get the alignment done.

Few photos from this morning of course.Still need a morning out and decent clean for some proper photos.

Also brought my dog for a bit of a lads morning out.

Looking to change my brake pads for something better for fast road use, anyone got any recommendations please?.something with not so much break dust would be good.

I have been thinking of..

MINTEX 1155 FRONT/1144 REAR

also maybe PBS pads?

Probably best asking George at road race on here for his opinion

That looks spot on.

Picked up some Brand new PBS pads today thanks to @Greeny.
Will most likely get the ProTrack for the rears to match, should work nicely with the rebuilt calipers, braided lines all round that are already on.

Ive read mixed answers on how to bed these in,any advice on this please?.

Nice, I've used these on track and altough I don't have much to compare them with I was happy with their performance!

Don't bother with PBS rears if you're never going on track

I find that they chew discs waaaayyy more if you're not getting them warm, same with the fronts, unless you're driving a bit harder then you can hear them scraping like you're braking with breezeblocks for pads 😂

Bedding them in, do a few 30-0 and then just do a couple of 70-10, 90-10. Mine have been sound doing that

Early morning start today for a morning drive out to First Coffee with @frayz Not to bad of a route that we have never done before but i still prefer the local loop we done a while ago and the one to Hunstanton are still my favs, also gave me a chance to see how the new tyres are & also the PBS pads.Im happy with both and will be getting the rear PBS soon to match with the front.
Shame there was no sun but at least it was dry even tho very cold with the wind.

How did you find fitting the inner arb bushes? I hated every minute of doing mine.

Easy until you have to clamp them up to get the bolt through mate, got the whiteline rear beam bushes also but will get Alex at Awmotorworks to do that.

Pretty much ever since i got my exhaust system i never really liked the tailpipes much.Always wanted the slash look like i had on my cup.Lucky enough @Ash J was selling a pair of brand new PMS slash cut tail pipe ends,so finally after a long time i finally manged to get these fitted & brings a much better clean look i think.

Yep I'd have been gutted to miss it. Might have to try sneak a Wales weekend in spetember if we're free this year. 👍

I have wanted to put Fog ducts in the 182 for a while now,but didnt want to start chopping away of the inside of the bumper to make the bass ports fit like i did on the cup.
Then @04-182 made a pair of custom ducts for @frayz & looked spot on for what i wanted, something that looks oe & just pops in with no mods.So i have the choice to put the fogs back in if need be.Next is to fit a small bit of 2 ply ducting to feed the induction filter.

Headlight look better than new! Top job MarkyMark!

Those fog light ducts look great too, might have to get me some of them!

Recently had my spare bonnet painted after finding my other painted bonnet had a tiny bubble that we looked into to find rust, which was coming from underneath on the lip/seam,so hard to treat.Great work from the boys again Will & Mark @Jekyll for getting the other bonnet painted in time for the Caffeine & Machine meet last month.

Also managed to board and carpet the rear out properly.Carpet looked a perfect match inside my house but, once fitted it looks to have a slight blue tint to it.Not a big problem as i will get some more carpet to match better and go over the carpet i have now, never less im happy with the fitment i done and that its in one piece rather than two halfs.

First photo is what it looked like in house.
