Titanium MrBlonde

As some of you may know already,i had an accident in my Cup & hit a barrier. In a nutshell,Raining very early cold morning on AD80rs (close to the limit) back end stepped out going up a banking corner.Still Drives fine tho, just wasnt worth me repairing,So decide on getting a 182 but in Silver.

So i found one and got up early on a Sat morning to head to south wales.

So this one is on 53k 2 owners & one of the very last ones & standard, previous owner also has a lovely Mars Red V6.

So plan is to get all the good bits off the cup & transfer onto the 182 then break or sell the cup as a whole car.

Couple of Photos of the Cups damage

I know i have the Titanium but i do prefer it over the Iceberg & stands out so much once all cleaned & a great colour in the sun @RustyMojo

No idea mate, your have to put a thread up but @Louis has a 3D printer or is able to use one, maybe drop him a DM @DomP182

Got round to fitting the PMS top mounts & looks a look more tidy in the engine bay & made a good improvement with driving & turn in.Just need go get the Alignment done hopefully tomorrow.

Also done a couple of other little bits,New PAS switch & fresh new PAS fluid.

Oil & Filter change with old skool Elf oil.

Few more little bits done on the Titanium.

Fitted a Alternator Rain Shield,Black Hose clamps to the induction set up,thought this would be a nice little touch in the engine bay,Still slowly tidying up the bay.

6% Laminx Film Tint to the Fog lights,i may go for a darker tint later on.

Then theres the Matt Black Sunstrip, wasnt to sure on them at first but then i see one on another silver clio and thought it suited the silver & didnt look out of place being to obvs, also the fact a couple of other clio mates have them which then persuaded me to get one, also not expensive & can easily be taken off.

Not to sure on what mod to do next, maybe a Remap at Engine Dynamics as there very local to me & i like the map they done when i had the cup.

So next will be to look into getting it mapped & to board out the rear properly rather than just the rear seat removed mat i have at the moment.

Will be getting the Turinis out soon for a deep clean & to have them balanced.Maybe fitting these back on for my Clio Weekend in Wales in Sept.

Went for a quick early morning blast and got a few photos along the way.

Cheers mate,i may try the next darker tint on the fogs at some point.

Haha yeah,i may do it again.See how i get on with it like this, saves using the sun visors tho😉 @Louis

So i got the Turinis out the shed today for a long over due deep clean. As im thinking of putting them back on,as i kind of think they look better on my 182 than the TD's & also i have the Wales weekend coming up in sept & being wales can never tell what the weather will be like.

I may get them re painted now or wait till after winter, will keep them to a bright silver.

There not in to back condition really.

Turinis mate, I think they look better on your car than most of the others! I don’t like the look of TD, great wheel for sure but cosmetics it’s turini for me

I like the TD's but feel the Turinis suit it more. Will get them balanced during the week & re fit ready for Wales in Sept, then have them re painted once back from Wales.Be interesting to see how it drives with them back on,as since ive had the TD's on ive fitted the Geo kit & Bumpsteer along with Solid Top mounts.

Love the TDs in silver on this. In person, it looks even better and has a slight motorsport look whist still looking smart.

The turinis however are timeless and always look clean and fresh.

(I basically said what you thought, and didn't actually give a opinion on which is better!)

Thing is,the Turinis are going back on for winter. So was thinking of a colour change of the TD's for next spring😉

Over the weekend i decided to get the Turinis back out of the shed for a deep clean & wax. After sweating my Hairy Bean bag off,i have got them back on the 182 and i do prefer them to the TD's.Just look so good on the Silver.I like the TD in silver looks great but just prefer the Turini.

I also weighed one of each out of interest after talking to @frayz about him looking for a lighter Wheel for his 182.

Was quiet surprised with the out come.

1X TURINI WITH PS3 TYRE 16KG.

1XTD WITH ADO8R TYRE 15KG.

So next job after im back from the Clio long weekend in Wales next month,i will get them Painted & sealed after.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Clio sit so right as the way yours does Steve. Looks absolutely superb back on the Turinis.
