Vexed with Rollers Reading

  2002 Clio Sport 172
:dapprove: Hi guys, I recently had my 2002 172 on the rollers (Dynojet) and was extremely let down at the result: best out of the 3 tries was 124.6 ATW, and that's with a Borla backbox, a Pipercross Viper, and Nology leads and plugs. The tech running the rollers said it could be the backbox robbing power, or the induction, or because the car was simply "old" (only 76,000 km). Did anyone encounter such a problem and how was it solved? I haven't been the same person after those roller results and am at loss as to how to extract the intended power of the mods. Please help. Cheers.

  EK9 + Mfactory gearing..
in reality the backbox will give you zero gains, the viper with a proper feed a 'possible' 3bhp, the plugs & leads again..zero.

Thanks, I reckonned the gains would be very minimal, but the main dilemna is that I had at least expected 150 ATW, same as other 172/cups with similar mods. 124 is just way too low & disappointing, to the extent I'm thinking of reverting to the original stock setup.

that's pretty pathetic, go back to standard and get it RR'd again... failing that sue Reno for being lying b******s as hardly any make the claimed 169bhp.

Yup! that's what I'll do, then take the money I get from the lawsuit & buy me a nice Lotus Exige, lol!

Check the injectors are working sound like you might have a dud one.
Doesn't show up on Renault diagnostics though.

My Cup was around the 145Bhp ATW figure as standard. I would use that as a rough ballpark figure.
