Water in my spare wheel well

help
ive just been repairing my xenon ballasts and i though id have a good look round the car while im at it (ive not owned long)
in the boot there was a large rag under the cboot floor an it was soaking in there an soaking by the rear right light on the inside of the boot
anyone had this problem
how do i fix it

Yeah i got it, massive pain as you have to find the leak and seal it.

1st check rear clusters are sealed properly, then try boot seal. They are the obvious places but if its like mine then it aint that simple to find.

I took boot interiour out and when it was raining sat there and watched for the water coming in (or get a mate to poor water on the car).

Then you can seal it.

Prob I have had is that the I found where its coming into the boot but not how its getting to that point (if that makes sense?) So i have been using an air line an blasting air through and looking for the bubbles. It started snowing tho so I never got round to finishing it, but its alot better than it was.

I have it sometimes... just condensation!

No leaky rubber seal.

The wheelwell is plain metal no insulation... the exhaust warms the floor up.
Condensation occurs after parking up.

Drill a hole in the spare wheel well. Problem solved

Depends on how much water, mine used to get loads, def not condensation!!

mine does get condensation but there is also deffo water coming in
so its leak hunt time this weekend

Open the boot up and next to each of the rear lights there's a little black plastic gromit thing, this is where the leak comes from.
Pop them out and silicone them up and pop them back in.

The air hose thing works really well, sounds a bit stupid but it works really well. But its best if you can find where the water is coming in to the boot!

I forgot to mention them as well, i siliconed mine but no luck... think mine leaks cos someone ran into back of me!! I WILL sort it when the weather is better.

Now and then i use a spongebob to soak up the water condens!
