What's my 172 Sport Worth roughly?

Can anyone help me with a guide price for my 172 Sport, having to sell to down size

52 Reg, 28k, Iceburg Silver, FSH, 10 months mot, Full Fat, all usual 172 extras, air con, climate control etc.. Standard bar clear side repeaters and an air freshner :rasp:

If its immaculate and your selling private , i'd put it up for around £6250 and expect to be knocked down to around £5800 - £6000 .Always price it slightly higher and put ono , this way the buyer thinks they've knocked you down a bit .

Trade it in at a dealer and expect your heart to be broken , lol

Check out autotrader to give you a rough idea of what they are going for .

I have considered px, and thought I would be ripped off as you say, just its an easy option isnt it.. also worried about test drives, I can feel I will be white knuckled clinging to the door handle!

I was offered £4000 for my 51 plate 172 on part ex , i got £5900 private on autotrader . That was in February last year

I was offered 6500 for mine about 3 months ago as part ex against a toyota mr2 roadster, which was priced quite reasonably.

I forgot to say, most on here don't value cars that highly - if it's their mates car then they say it's worth the money. If it's not then they say it's not worth the money even though their mates car might be a bad example.
As said before by some one - see auto trader for a guide to what they are up for & go with that, 6.5k (as I said) fits in nicely.

i picked mine up for £5300 and it's almost identical to yours except mine had 30k miles, 1 owner
