Why do people never supercharge mk1 clios?

I know they are not that many turbo mk1 clios about but no-one seems to supercharge them! I would love to do it but was trying to work out if it was possible (without too much ballache!). Im guessing the space in the valver bay does not help, but surely there is enough space for a small charger unit under where the inlet manifold would sit and it shouldnt be too difficult to hook it up with some drive?

Also if you did manage to get a small charger hooked up and mapped properly, would the stock internals take the extra power? What sort of power would they be good for?

And you guys got it easy as most of you have electric power steering...we have hydraulic power steering in our Clios so the bracket has no room for a compressor...

All out cars have hydraulic ps and aircon...

only the late small engine ph2 mk2s have electric power steering. There's hydraulic pumps and hoses on most clios

a fella in braintree had one, he bought a alloy header tank off me. it was a dimma in a pearl type silver colour. was fast but very juicy. has been for sale a few times since he owned it. just think the turbo ones were easier to live with and do.
