Will we ever have another car with such good performance v cost? (172/182)

  RB 200 Cup!
My Cup -

0-60 6.4
138mph top speed
33mpg average on my stop-start to work, 43mpg on a long run, high 20's even when roasting it. (was less on track though).
£350 insurance
£140 for a pair of tyres
£210 tax (this is the worst bit, will be rising too)
It might rattle a bit, but I've found it very reliable
Most jobs can be easily undertaken yourself - I've done battery, suspension, brakes, exhaust (not all of that was on mine, but experienced doing it on a mate's 172)
Average service is less than £200

How will we ever beat that level of performance for the cost? 197s look really great, and I think they have more road presence than pictures alone suggest, but the running costs *seem* higher from what I've worked out.

Will I be driving my Cup forever! ;)

gotta love em really

Never.

Not now (after 4.5 years and 103k miles) or when it was new could I replace mine with something for the same price that would do for me what my Cup does. There's simply nothing else out there for the same purchase price, that delivers the same pace, for the same running costs, giving the same levels of practicality.

If there is, I'd like to know what it is?

What about these, they would be a close match in terms of price/performance/running costs/practicality:
Honda ITR DC2
Honda CTR EK9
Toyota Glanza turbo
Nissan Pulsar VZR
Mitsubishi Cyborg
Diahatsu Storia X4
