williams not running too good :-(

2 problems:

1st is sometimes when car is sitting idling the revs drop to well below 1000 and its as if its going to conk out, then it jumps up to 1500 revs then does the same?

2nd is recently when driving along it will go fine for 100 yards then shudders and hesitates and it keeps doing it every 100 yards, im thinking the ignition leads for this one?

ps, the car desperatly needs a service, will this be whats up?

well treat her to a service and then see if u still get the probs , just renew the leads plugs oil change maybe distributer cap and rotor arm too !

Right, mines still in at Renault @) but anyways, I went down to get it yesterday and mine did almost the same thing, dieing after being giving a very light blip on the throttle, but it seems as though the connector to the Throttle Pot was dirty, cos that was taken off and re-seated and checked it out today and all seems well again, no sign of the problem now.

Just a thought.

the two problems are related. mine did this, does it hesitate when you put your foot down but then shoot off? its your ICV and idle potentiometer thingimyjig

mines doing it, changed the iscv and its much better but still does it when its cold....! it drives fine just the revs drop tooooo low!!!! grrrrr
