Exhaust looks BRILLIANT Dan.

Have you got a vid whilst driving it? Mines on its last legs, looking at the RS192 or Milltek.

I love this car Dan. I'm 16 atm so driving a 1.2 clio but would love a 1*2 at some point lol
Thank you! I know exactly how that feels mate, you will love the upgrade from a 1.2!

This is coming along great buddy, bit of a shame about the welds on the exhaust but now you can keep your ocd happy with a new one! :)

Hoping to go and collect it Sunday  I'll now need to get my strut brace sorted as the bright red is going to clash with everything else haha.

Thank you mate... Yeah, bit annoyed about the exhaust but never mind - It's much better now! :D

That cover is epic! will look ace on the car :)

Hows the exhaust?
Hope so! I'm not sure if it is going to work with the black inlets and fuel rail guard so I might have to get them changed but for now it should be good!

The exhaust is perfect, so much better than before [emoji1]

Not much of an update but the car had it's MOT first thing this morning, thankfully it passed with flying colours - No advisories.

With Christmas etc recently I haven't bought much for the car but hopefully i'll get a few more things ticked off the wanted list over the next coming months. Speaking of Christmas, Santa bought me lots and lots of products to top up my detailing gear so I'm looking forward to some decent weather to start using it all. It's impossible to keep it clean atm 😧

Auto Finesse Kit
Autobrite Direct Kit

I've also recently contacted Mick at Diamond Motors to give me some quotes on a few things I want sorting out so hopefully that can be organised fairly soon ready for summer.

Hopefully there will be some more updates soon!...

How have I not seen this thread

Car looks awesome

That exhaust looks and sits spot on!!?

Thank you mate! I agree - I'm really happy with how the exhaust is sitting now

Tidy engine bay, like the dark theme tbh!

And you have the winners RS rear badge (197), so win win!

I wasn't sure if it would work at first but i'm happy with it, I just need to do something with the red strut brace

Very nice example

Thank you Jake :)

Nice pic in the garage Dan - looks mint.

I'm just outside Lincoln and I've used @MicKPM at Diamond Motors the last couple or three years.
April (ish) he did belts, dephaser, front brakes, full service. He also replaced some missing covers that had been left off by Renault the last time it had been done (!)
Was in a spot of bother a couple of months back when I broke a spring into three, I left a message on Micks answer phone and he called me back on the mobile and gave me some good advice on how I could do it myself or where/what to buy if not going Renault.
If it had been ok to drive I'd had taken it the hours journey without hesitation.

You won't be disappointed - I'm happy that I've got his stamp in my service book

That's really good to hear, a few people have recommended Mick now so it's good to know my car will be in safe hands.

Absolutely love the carbon engine cover! May get myself one in the future [emoji14]

Haha, I doubt it is anywhere near as mint as yours  I really want some actually but I have absolutely no idea what I could get away with without rubbing.
Yea you're best finding someone who matched your setup, I'm on Cooksports so not sure it would be the same! Pretty cheap mod though, and it looks brilliant. Can't comment on the handling as I'm not really one for high speed cornering but it certainly looks smart!

Yeah, think I'll have to have a look into it, thank you though :)

I planned on giving the 182 a "quick wash" today, but it very quickly escalated into a lot more than just a quick one lol. Thought i'd share some of the random photo's I took along the way - Straight off my phone so nothing special.
Process was:
  • Autobrite Direct Pre-wash (out of Magifoam 😧 )
  • Rinse
  • Wash - Autobrite Direct Purple Velvet - Most amazing shampoo ever!
  • Rinse
  • Washed again using Carbon Collective clay mitt
  • Rinse
  • Dry - Autofinesse Aqua Deluxe drying towel
  • Autofinesse Tripple
  • Autofinesse Tough Coat - Paintwork Sealant
  • Autofinesse Spirit wax - First time using this and it's amazing!
  • Autobrite Direct for the windows, tyre's and plastic trim dressing

It's now tucked away in the garage and isn't moving until the roads are clean! 😂

So Mick at Diamond Motors had my car this week and did a full cambelt kit change, including the water pump (which was knackered) and a health check, just to make sure everything is as it should be. Thankfully it is and the car is now running perfectly. Picked it up yesterday afternoon and it feels absolutely fantastic.

Can't thank Mick enough, top bloke!

I've recently been speaking to someone about powder-coating my strut brace so hopefully that'll be one of the next updates! :)

Car looks fantastic just the look that my project will be like.

Which offset Turinis are these? Cup 172 38.5 or Trophy 45 ?

Are you running any spacers?

  2004 clio 182 ff
Thank you mate!
I'm not 100% sure on the offset of the Turinis, I will try find out at the weekend for you if I remember :) and I'm not running spacers... Yet ;)

They are cup spec turinis so et35. I had 20mm spacers on it when I owned it but even tho it looked awesome and handled well on the track, it used to tramline like crazy on the road so took them back off

Thanks for sharing your wash procedure mate, I'm learning about all this detailing malarky so it's handy to see it in steps.

Car looks fantastic. Makes me jealous mine doesn't look like that!
