yes but you do have to grind a bit off the middle too but thatsthe easy bit. getting the stubs out is less soOK thanks, and did you just drill and tap the rear beam for the 182 stub axles?

i never did no. only ever looked at how to modify the original. as with anything i guess there is always a way but i dont know the mounting hole spacings on this one.. look wider.. or the shock spacing.. i suspect that would be your main problem but maybe also change in wheelbase alsoI'm looking fitting the megane scenic rear beam (99-03) but need to check they fit. Did you ever look at that option?

Did you change the torsion bar on it?i never did no. only ever looked at how to modify the original. as with anything i guess there is always a way but i dont know the mounting hole spacings on this one.. look wider.. or the shock spacing.. i suspect that would be your main problem but maybe also change in wheelbase also
the standard bar is retained but following what renault did on these beams for gr.A i added the option to add an extra external arb. the one fitted in the photos is a front mx5 standard one but i actually changed the front arb setup to take mx5 ones too so there are lots of options on diameter etc for those and you can interchange both front and rear from the same setup so saving 1/2 the cost of options effectively.. just change the bar and bushes.. ive got something like 25 or 26mm front and 19mm rear currently..Did you change the torsion bar on it?
took me kin ages to find suitable bars.. looked at porsche 924/928etc but mx5 actually work wellLooks great @ClioMaxi
Im going to try a similar setup for the rear arb on my extra van, basically same axle apart from drums/24mm torsion bars.
