Ph1 172

Hi,
Just paid my first years subscription so thought I would post some pics of my relatively new 172.
Anyone have any ideas of subtle mods which I could do, keeping it looking relatively standard i.e no 21" wheels etc

So far I have painted the side strips in pearl black to match car and silver badges, ph2 rear lights with silvatec bulbs all round, and personal plates

Thinkin about gettin wheels done in anthracite and callipers in yellow, new suede steering wheel, and possibly ph2 rear bumper.

Any other suggestion (apart from lowering ) welcome!

very nice mate, I'd just lower it and that would probably be it... maybe do the wheels black or get the pro race 1.2's with the yellow writing.

Black Ph1's are nice! Days is certainly one to look at if your going for subtle mods.

Was for me once I'd bought the right arch liners for it.
Straight swap, even had 2 bolts left over.

Like the front spiltter Evoo, how much and where from?? Also where is best place to find ph2 rear bumper, arch liners and cup spoiler?? Breakers yards I guess!

Also whats everyones thoughts on anthracite wheels with gold callipers? or should i leave it alone!

Might also colour code door handles and boot button as its annoying me cos its goin grey even after using back to black!

No idea, was on the car when I bought it, kind of looks like an RGM one. Not usually a fan of them but on a black car I think it carries it off ok, any other colour and it'd look crap I think.

Chap who owned it before me was in his late 40s and stuck the splitter on to make it look just a little different, he was the dad of one of the guys on here, ben someone (he had the supercharged saxo).

I'd just be sticking some Eibachs on there, leave the wheels and calipers (maybe just clean them up), cup spoiler if you can find one

i think you should get a Ph2 rear bumper with a cut in exhaust, Ph2 rear lights and maybe some 16" OZ F1 cups. Some silvervisions should finish it off nicely.

Yeah not too sure about wheels, might have a play on photoshop and see what its like!
Definately want ph2 rear bumper and spoiler tho.
Already got Phillips silvervisions front and rear mate :approve:maybe its the light in the pics cos of the flash!

Looks like a nice start love them in black!I reckon a phase 2 rear bumper, phase 2 side strips, cup spoiler and it would look spot on!!!

ph2 side strips yeah, not the bumper though, does anyone not actually notice that it's wrong for the lines of the car and looks more like a shelf on the back of the car from a side angle? pants mod imo, looks utter gash
