Welcome to the forum.

I can’t help with number 1. Whilst I’ve replaced tie rods, covers, rod ends, I’ve never had to deal with a leaking seal on the rack itself, which I suspect this is what it is.

Incorrect fluid or overheating due to track use I suspect. Not sure how successful replacing seals are, so likely a reconditioned one is the best approach. Or if you’re only going to hammer it around a track, go non power steering or EPAS. Lots of info in the guides section and various threads available on here. You’d need to be a member to view those.

Here’s an exploded diagram of the rack itself.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th pictures could all be related to leaking oil from the rocker cover. It’s common to see oil around the first spark plug hole as that’s where the oil filler is and people are clumsy when doing oil top ups. But also if the cover has been off and not sealed properly, it’ll naturally leak in those areas. I’ve seen an engine where oil is coming out of the head studs before, which invariably goes everywhere. Again, due to poor application or wrong use of sealant when refitting the cover.

There are some good engine builders on here that might chip in and advise better on how to reseal that and the processes involved.

Grease around the driveshaft is an interesting one as these nuts are torqued up to 280NM, so you’re not going to get CV boot grease finding its way through the bearing. I can only think the previous owner has been a bit too liberal with grease. Other than a bit of copper slip on the spindle to stop the nut rusting itself on, that area should be dry.

The driveshaft nut on the other side should be further in than that and no, there’s no split pins.

The Exhaust flange is typical of an old poorly maintained and rusty old Clio. It should look like this.

You can buy the flanges which can be welded in situ by any decent exhaust centre. There’s a recent post on this and a name of the chap who supplies the flanges. If I have time and you don’t find it, I’ll add it on here. The sealing gaskets are a weak point and other than V banding, which I’ve never done, K Tec Racing sell the only seal worth buying.

It’s late in the evening, but drop me a dm tomorrow and I can share links to gaskets etc.

There is a supporting bracket and rubber for a factory exhaust, but this is an old Clio and chances are it’s got a lot of aftermarket parts fitted to it now.

I don’t envy you, but a lot of us have gone through the pain and expense of putting these cars right over the years. Good luck!

Degrease the cam cover and run it to pinpoint the oil leak.

If its cam cover gasket its a pretty big job as its cambelt off to remove it, which needs specialist tools to do properly.

I know folk harp on about it but it looks like you or someone else is under the car with just the jack supporting the weight😅. Get some axle stands under there!

Number 4 could very well be the solenoid seal.
