Will fit its a special connection not the common cd changer connection you probably used from Pioneer or Sony but this is a special cable just like 4 little wires bundled in a handyman connector from renault. Looks very simple.
There are three connector on the backside of the headunit. 1 is...
Well the crosstalk from the lambda isn´t that of an issue your TDC is more worrying I would say. (TDC-knock. sensor) Just ask the guys on what octane-level the chip is locked and make sure you always take that octane level. No problem if you once forget but the car will run NOT well. As the TDC...
The drivabilty is often linked as torque which I think is true. The mayor thing in chiptuning is increasing the torqueband over a certain part of powerband. The drivability is better and responses are good over a larger band. The increase of torque is around 20 Nm. So you will be ending at...
not in my knowledge, Renault uses it as a person comes in with trouble with the gearbox. We use it in Clioracers also as standard. Changing once every half year for racegearboxes.
We use Elf ATF D3 synthetic is our sport boxes and it´s super stuff. Originaly used for automatic gearboxes but used in Renault racing as gearbox oil. Both in Sequential and stock RS boxes !!
with the ecu you not only increase rpm but also fine adjust other parameters like fueling and mixture together with an octane level of at least 97 there will be more power and torque available. Don´t think that increasing the rpm´s till 8000 will do wonders. The drivability of your car will be...
CUP80Y jay is right they wil not notice it.
I just wanna tell you about my clutch I am certain that my left legg has become thicker cause of the greater force ! mine is from AP racing by the way
We will have the first test with the new Cliocup racers on the track. Currently VERY busy in updating the front- and backside of the clio´s they all have to have the 2004 look. Even we now have different backside with double exhaust. The engines ALL are back and they changed ONE !! part (inlet)...
yes I don´t get your point CUP80Y isn´t that where 172/cup/RS etc. are for it´s printed SPORT on the back.
I´m only kiddin´ youre probably right for normal road use 10W40 will do (but still I myself go for full synth.)
Rich D why is Renaultsport providing us EVERY race with 5 cans (1l each) per car of 5W50 Elf Excellium than if it was too thin ? (yes we are provided by Rsport holland for ALL lubrication and fuel from Elf) ;)
well Renault UK are a bunch of a holes I would say. State !
Please do visit your local Renault Dealer they have a very big wallpaper in their garage which tells you that e.g. 5W40 is on the list as recommended by Renault France.
And if you check your maintainance book(I just did dig up...
Devil is a VERY good brand only they are so expensive. I used to have one on my Williams and they where stock on Clioracers 1994-1995 season.

Well I just provide the info what we do on the track with the race clios. We drive in with stock oil from Renault (that is a whole day trackdrive not higher than 6000 Rpms) end of the day we have around 1000 miles. Than we put in Elf Excellium 5W50 full synth. raceoil also provided to us by...
First service is at .....10.000 miles. I rather drive 5000 with stock renault (run in, which is actualy not) oil and change the next 5000 for full synth. and then every 7500 mls fresh liquid juice of full synth.
The big red knob is for the fire estinguesher (or how is it in English)
The black cable in is coming from the Magnetti marelli ecu box for datalogging
The little plug is for getting the data out of the clio
To start the car we first have to press the button on the bottom next to the big...
0W50 mobil does NOT excist (at least its not in the catalgue) 0W40 is.
The Renault manual states 10W40 preferable 5W40. (also for V6)
From factory they have 10W40 with a special additive I was told.
We use 5W50 for racing
So the option mobil 1 5W40 will do perfect for your 2.0
Renault recommends Ron 98, Ron 95 will do but the cup will take a different ignition (due to retarding by the knocking sensor) So try to get 98. Ohterwise buy 95 and put octane boost 100 in it, expensive but drives ok.
cheers
viscocity of 50 just means when the oil is hot(around 120 degrees C) the lubrication of all turning parts are 100%. And I believe you no problem you will run it with no problems. I only use 5W50 I am now on my oilchange after 10.000 km (6250 Mls) and the only amount of oil I had to top up was...
