If it was you that got rear ended youd hope a witness would stop to back you up???
My mates beatle went up in smoke however the engine wasnt in it at the time. He also managed to take the gearbox out and some other stuff - the accessor came and went and they paid out no questions 15k

Well ive got the 1.6 and my dads got the 1.4 and we both reckon theres a noticeable difference between them. The main difference is when u get into 3rd gear although its also noticeable in the lower rev range.

I encouraged the missus to overtake some fat moose in a shi*ty old pug 205 and the look on her face was priceless hehe she tried to get her own back...
Yeah im quite lucky with my missus as well, she knows how much i take pride in my car so she treats it well - except for her inability to be able to shut the boot without trying to put it through the floor!!!!
We both work part time at the same supermarket so i normally park on the end bay and...

Like anything, people will only post about their problems - not people who havent had any problems.
I had a mk1 clio for a year and all that went wrong was a rear brake cyldinder. Ive had my 99plate 1.6 mk2 since April and not had one single problem. My Dads had his 03 plate clio for 18 months...
