Any 75w-80 MTF will suffice matey, you wont see a great deal of difference providing its the correct grade

No no, you were perfectly clear, but to clarify what I meant wait for the car to get to 1/3 up the gauge and then hold the car at 2000rpm stationary, does the temperature increase then? If so I'd say thermostat is stuck open.
