    Megs Spend Up :P

Agree with this, we've got both and the Gel is easier to apply, looks better AND lasts longer. As for the overall package, I went for this... Wash Mitt Water Magnet Terry Towel Microfibre Cloth 3x pack of Foam Applicators NXT Wash NXT Wax Megs Endurance Tyre Gel AG Engine &...

    No test drive

Never had any trouble personally, took the 172 Cup out on my own for 45 minutes before buying it and I'm early 20s, gave me the keys and told me to make sure I came back and that any speeding fines will be mine. Mate got refused on a 350Z recently though, he's 29 and had the £25k or whatever...

Cup & Willy - Trowbridge today

Williams parked opposite the Bowyers car park today around 1pm, bit of a rare site around these parts. Then a 172 Cup in Tesco car park around 7pm, reg ....WBO, needed a clean!

    The humble paintbrush

We've got loads of Megs and Autoglym products here which we use between the two cars, bought loads of stuff a year ago and despite using some stuff alot (NXT Wash, NXT Wax, AG Glass Cleaner etc) a few things have gone unused after trying once and not really getting anywhere with it. Anyhows...

    Do people not care anymore...

Sadly not, mine goes in the far reaches of car parks away from everyone and is protected as much as possible, yet I still have had a door opened on mine, thankfully just the doorhandle so I got it sorted ok. No matter where you put the car someone ends up parking next to you! No way of...

    172 Cup Bump Strips

Ah ok, anybody know how much they are and what the paint code is? Will pop into Renault tomorrow but not 100% confident they will know!

    172 Cup Bump Strips

Been thinking about getting another set of these from Renault, would they come ready painted? I only ask because the Cup bump strips are a flat blue (not Mondial as used on the bodywork) and I have no idea what paint I would need. If not I may as well redo my current ones (already got...

Someone, somwhere, doesn't want me to buy a Valver

Valver was crossing between spaces and I think he admitted responsibility, woman in the other car couldn't have avoided it. The stone-chip is being sorted Dave, if I keep it (and I'm thinking I might) I'm sorting it then getting the vunerable areas protected.

Someone, somwhere, doesn't want me to buy a Valver

Just returned home from my second 200 mile excursion to look at a Valver (actually this time I was going to buy one), still in shock a bit as to what just happened, but let me rewind a week or two... Valver Number 1... Lovely looking Forest Green Valver, good price and was informed it was...

    Insurance - 172 Cup to 182 Cup

172 Cup is 16 or 17 depending on insurer iirc, some don't treat it differently to a 172. I got quotes between £600-£1200 for my Cup! 182 Cup may cost more because its newer and therefore worth more.

Omar's GORGEOUS 182: Inside and Out

Nice work, interior is a bit more plush than the 172 Cup! Oddly enough I got some similar(ish) pics I wouldn't normally think of taking today as someone wanted detailed pics before coming to view it this week :( Didn't clean it though as I don't really want to sell it!

    WARNING!!! Cup to be avoided!!!

lol, noticed it had gone recently. New motor looks nice. Mine is off soon so we will go from 2 to none on the same road within weeks.

Look what i went out to this morning......

Probably nowt to do with the plate. Mindless fools do things like this just for the hell of it, I had it done to my 1.2 RN once and I've never bothered anyone.

Clio 172 a bit under powered?

Depends what gear etc she was in I suppose, and if she was changing up at the right time. I've been embarrased by a Citroen Pluriel thing on the entrace to a DC before because I was sat in 5th at 40mph and wasn't expecting the road to open out. Driver ability would even play a part in something...

    2 Cups in the bridge..(Trowbridge)

I saw C5 CUP yesterday morning up near your neck of the woods, he didn't want to play "wave at the other Cup owner" though sadly. It must have been the one you saw as "C3 CUP" isn't a registered numberplate iirc. MILF was checking me out the other day as well, even though I see her daily she...

    Osrams & Bluevisions

Weird that the Diadems are greeny, mine have never exhibited any slight tinge of green in the real world. Safer than the Silvervisions either way though, still perfectly orange light and very bright. I think the very nature of indicators means that if you are going to have a really good orange...

    172 vs 182

Can we bring something else to the table... Renault apparently cherry-picked the 172 Cup engines, therefore most are "good-uns" compared to the hit and miss nature of the other 172/182s. RRs may not mean anything, but when you've got loads of the same cars attending on the same day and the...

Well used 53 172 cup, 8295? good or bad?

Mine is £7750 (ish) and is a December 2003, just onto 20k, includes private CUP plate, carbon splitter, full custom cup mats, new unfitted strut brace etc. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=127490 So yeah, I'd say its expensive :)

Loads of Clio's - Castle Combe today + Meg F1

Lots of Clio's at CC today including a Naples Valver amongst many others, any from here? I need flyers to put on windscreens! Also spotted two on the road around 9am this morning, loud White RSi and Arctic 182 near Melksham. Then on the way home around 6pm I passed a Megane F1 again near...

Raining outside, so cleaned inside!!!...S3 VS Cup

I know where it is :) Wish I had taken you up on that offer to get mine in there today, I stood outside between 9am-6pm watching the racing, rain soaked through all my clothes, socks and everything, bloody freezing! Was a good day though.

    Looks or speed?

I would say handling, don't need a fast car to have fun :) On the insurance note, if your 1.4 is considerably modded your insurance shouldn't be particuarly cheap anyway...

    What Headlight bulbs

Silverstars all the way, wouldn't be without them. Blue/HID effect lights may look pretty but they don't offer anywhere near the same level of light, I will happily accept safety over looks any day of the week (although the Silverstars aren't exactly shabby in this department). Order from...

    40,000 miles... QUICK engine!

We got some interesting results at Janspeed recently, standard Cups were getting better figures than the 182s almost without exception. I thought it was mileage but then mine went on (17k at the time I think) and it was only 1 or 2bhp out from Mark's Cup which has done over 3 times the miles...

2006 Budget Ouch for RS owners!

I wouldn't mind if I knew this money was doing some good, but where does it go? It sure as hell doesn't pay to improve the roads around here because there is "never enough money" to do it.

    cup front splitter

hehe, did mine without raising the car, my missus said it couldn't be done but I squeezed under there! Took about an hour but I made sure it was really secure (8 screws I think, Renault use about 4 iirc) In fairness though it was easier than changing my front bulbs, that was a bloody nightmare
  29. U

    cup front splitter

Yep thats right. Exactly the same shape/style as the Renault one.

    cup front splitter

K-Tec do a Carbon Fibre Front Splitter which looks excellent imo. I only bought one as at the time it was cheaper than the Renault one, but I love it now. Its gone up in price a little since then though...
