Cheers paddymph and elliot.
First elliot, the problem started before I did the airbox, so I doubt its that.
I will be reseting the ecu now paddy. I thought it might be that, but lets just wait and see.
I was also thinking today, could it be the autochoke?

Hello folks
Well a few days before I did my airbox "conversion" I decided for no apparant reason to put the car upto the rev limeter in 2nd gear I think, but it might have been 3rd. I only did it once and it only lasted a second or two before I dipped the clutch and changed to a higher gear...
Well its done, and it looks fantastic. Took a bit longer than I thought because I went for 2 feeds instead of 1. The easier 1 took 5 mins to fit, the other one 3 hours. My bro went to town on the cold/hot air switch and butchered it to make a very nice connection for my piping....so to speak...
Hey Jas, I was wondering. Next time you want anything redisgning why dont you put it out as a competition. The winner wins something. Maybe something as simple as a free years membership, or a free keyring or something (oh got a new idea for merchandise btw) then you could have lots of entrys to...
Nah Telford, I will get myself sorted with DVD authoring then I will be able to make it all look dandy and fancy. Plus it will allow more stuff to be put onto one disk and of better quality.

IK are mainly for noise. You may get a bit more power or at least better pick up. But in the summer, even with cold air feeds, they are killers. If you want one that is pretty much guarnteed results then get a viper...if it will fit. I myself am modifying the airbox with cold air feeds. Works...
Hi,
I am going to be "modding" my airbox today, or at least getting the parts for it. I was wondering, as I am going to replacing the air feeds into it with cold air ones, and making my own air ducts to suck the air into the engine bay (not going for bonnet scoops, I am putting stuff behind...
LoL yeah a simple bit of firewalling can solve a lot of problems, but most people dont bother. Or dont know enough to worry. I bet there is quite a few people here that dont have adequite protection or know someone who doesnt.
(Thats non sexual references there)

Hi Jas, there appears to be a big security hole in XP and NT. Its causing a few sleepless nights for quite a few people because its a big hole. Now it appears that there is about to be a barrage of hackers and viruss released that will exploit this hole. Basically it enables hackers and viruss...
Ah ya bugger Telford. Do you have any idea how hard dvd authoring is? Well its hard, but I am only saying that because I have no idea. I suppose mastering audio tracks is hard to someone who doesnt know. To me its a bit piss easy.

If I remember rightly the last time Jas was putting something together like this it was decided it was going to be properly next time. All the videos edited together by someone (who I cant remember) then he/she was going to send me the audio for mastering and dubbing then I send it back and it...
Cheers Sweeney, I think I remember you mentioning them before.
Steve RT, 40mm is about the maximum without me getting too many problems, so I thought I would go for that.
No other reason.
I might get the ones from Ktec that do a 35mm drop. If they have em on, they must be fairly good kit...
Hello all,
I decided a few months back to lower the car. And now with all the variouse unplanned expenses out the way I can just about afford it. I want a 40mm drop, but searching around I cant find a good make that does it. They are all 35 or 45 or 50. I am looking for a kit (shocks and...
You sure its not exhaust fumes? when i took out my seats i got exhaust fumes comming through from under the car. opening the windows created a sucktion and made it smell worse. as soon as i put my new seats in the holes where plugged and i couldnt smell it again.
Probably useless, but I have...
