My heater fan on my 182 stopped working yesterday with a burning smell. I did the resistor check last night and couldn't get the fan to spin at all after bypass. My question is where is the motor located and what's the best easiest way to remove/check?

Had my 182 a year now and thinking of some mods. What is recommend and where to get from? Have about £1500 to spend. Looking for usual exhaust, race header, ecu, induction. What sort of power increase would i expect? cheers.

It all comes down to driver ability. We have a 182 and a CTR. Would have to say that the CTR feels the quickest in most situations, just feels like it wants to go faster all the time. Heard people saying how the CTR isn't good on a track hasn't driven one on a track. Yeah the steering is a bit...

I think depends how you like to drive. The Seat is good motorway cruiser and easy to drive quick. The 182 and CTR are more involving and more fun, but also have to drive hard to get the best out of them.

New CTR wont be out till middle of 2007 if it is ever made (nothing confirmed yet) I would get standard Golf GTi and get it chipped.

My 182 has now just done over 700 miles now. Husband behind me noticed that when i open it up alot of steam seems to come from just one exhaust pipe. Is this normal? as its going back to dealer on Wed for couple of other things.

How much are they as an extra? You can buy Recaros like that for less than £600 each.

Just got new private number plates. Now i have come to put them on my 182 the plates on, are what looks like riveted on not just screwed on. Does anyone know how to get these off? dont want to damage anything trying. Thanks

Shell garage is nearest to me and cheapest around so dont mind using it. Anyone notice any improvement in fuel ecom with optimax? In CTR we get on avg. another 30miles out of a tank with Opti.
