Ah b****cks. I thought that might be the case about the lambada sensor but was praying once the throttle body was replaced the light would go out. I had a decat pipe on a while back for about 9 months and that light never came on.
For about a year now it has felt lumpy when the engine is cold. Sometimes it feels like I’m driving with the handbrake on. Once it warmed up it seemed to be fine. A few weeks back I was driving along and changed gear at about 4 or 5k rpm. The car lost power, the limp mode light came on and I...
It happened this morning whilst driving enthusiastically and no matter what gear I was in the car would not rev past 3k rpm. A warning light appeared just below the petrol warning light. I stopped the car and turned the engine over again. The light went off and normal service was restored. The...
A whining high pitched sound can be heard coming from the electronic throttle body when idle. When coasting along at say 40 in 4th gear the car slows down and feels like it labouring. I can also hear backfiring from the exhaust more frequent. I think the throttle may have had it. I've taken it...
Well I had 6 1ltr bottles and I put 5 in then put 0.1ltr of the 6th bottle. Its not even showing up on the old fashioned dipstick. I put a bit more oil in just in case as I spilt a bit.
Just done a full engine oil change. Fitted a new filter too. Put 5.1 litres in and the dipstick and the trip computer both say empty. I went for a little drive and they still said the same. It looks as tho more oil came out than went in. It's fookin weird. Any chacne there could be an air pocket...
As above. Been running with the new gearbox for a week now and the car feels allot quicker. Are the ratios different in the ph1 box? I know the build quality was better. Maybe it's just becuase my last gearbox was buggered but I'm sure it's faster. Anyone else had a similar experience?
Fitted a gearbox from a 172 ph1 on me 172 cup and today when I selected reverse I got reverse. When I selected 1st I got reverse. Adjusted the selector to the gear stick linkage and I still couldn't get it right. Has anyone got a guide on how to do it? I referred to a Haynes manual for every mk2...
The gearbox I took out was a JC5 129. Then I had a JC5 130 which I found out wouldn't work. I swapped the JC5 130 for a JC5 089. Will this work on me cup?
I'll not be able to upload it till I get home. Spoke to the guy who got me it and he thought he was doing me a favour by giving me the newer gearbox. Luckily he's got a JC5 129 in so I'm gona whip the 130 now as I'll hopefully have the new one tomorrow.
Aye it's a JC5 130. I'm fuckin stupid me like and theres no way of gettin the speedo drive out of the 129 and putting it into the 130?
Haha. I might be paying you a visit soon. Gona speak to the bloke who sold me it. See if he can swap it for the right one 1st.
Haha. I'm gona have a look tomorrow. I assume if I've got the wrong box it's gona have to be swapped. There's nothing I can do as the cup doesn't have an abs sensor, yeah?
The box is the same but the old speedo drive from my old box doesn't fit. There is a hole but it feels slightly different. It took me a canny while to fit the bastad so I'm reluctant to take it out. Any advice would be smashing.
http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1429 I'm not talking about the induction kit itself. I know you can get a samco elbow for the throttle body and airbox. But what about the pipe to locate the induction kit where the acoustic valve normally lives...
Seems like one extreme to another. I heard there are other manufacturers who make a firmer one than the renault one and softer than the powerflex one. My upper gearbox mount is shattered anyway and I think it was a result from the crappy renault dogbone bushes.
