Took about 30 mins to do the backs and about 1 1/2 hours for the fronts - after muchos swearing at one of the suspension nuts which was locked solid. I stood on it....sorted. Top marks to Fred for the guide...found on here somewhere. Spot on...Even got the spanner sizes right ! Measured it...

hey mate - I'd been up to Kettering to pick up some Eibach Pro's from lewisniven (nice bloke!) and I'd seen the camera's on the way up there. Tomtom usually does a good job of warning me, but it had locked up as soon as I pulled onto the A14 and I couldn't be arsed to pull over and sort it out...

I think it was around 3pm ?? Sat Nav had busted and I was in unfamiliar territory so had no idea where the camera's were. So there I was pootling along in the inside lane ! Exchanged thumbs up and listened to the nice exhaust note as you went past :D

Is this something 1 person could do on thier own with a trolley jack and a set of socket spanners ? A point in the right direction would be really good. I fancy lowering my car, but don't fancy spending another £100 at a garage getting them to the springs for me.

Came back from a bit of shopping to find a nice Silver 182 parked next to me. Also saw a Black 182 with 4 people driving through freeport car park and a Black 172 (possibly 182) just past Great Notley Tesco's. Maybe I missed out on a mini-meet ?? !!

My old 172 was heaviliy worn at 40k, the previous owner wore a few rings. I put it down to that.

Might be worth mentioning to your local Trading Standards. If the garage is that dodgy, they may have a file on them and be building a case to prosecute.
