So i was just driving home from the gym, going up the flyover bridge in Poole town, when my service light, traction control light and another light (a square with funny lines in it) all came up at once, the engine - which was warm - was limited at 2k rpm, no more, no less...
so i managed to...
I haven't got any pics... BUT i dropped the bugger :dead: and where it landed on the lens, a couple of tiny black bits snapped off the lens attachment... can i get thid repaired/??
hopefully i'll get pics to follow!

Was very surprised when the MOT dude said it had failed!! :(
BUT very stupidly, it failed on the fact my drivers seat was missing a bloody bolt! how it went missing i dont know know!!
Where do i get one?? will post in the wanted section too....

A BIG thanks to all that gave advise on how to carry out an engine swap on my 182!!
It took a fews days due to lack of sunlight and clio sport knowledge, but she's all back together with a new, rebuilt 182 engine, we've checked timing - have the tool if anyone locals would like to borrow it...
Should there be a woodruf key in the crankshaft cambelt pulley? my replacement engine pulley does not turn as it should when I turn the clutch assembly by hand. This was after I removed the "fan" belt crankshaft pully retaining bolt. As I have now lost the correct timing can someone let me know...
PLease help!
What are you best suggestions on removing the driveshaft when taking 182 engine out? do we need to take them out of the wheel ends too?
also how shall we go about remove PAS an A/C??

right as embarrassed as i am already, here goes...
I lost all my engine oil, due to a leak, in one journey, and basically the big end has gone :(
I've bought a 2nd hand 182 engine, is there a guide on here on how to swap the engine over (which order to go about on what to take off etc...)...
Earlier today I fitted another HU and wired up the car for my amp and sub... Everything went fine.
Just a moment ago, 2.5 hrs later I went to press the central locking button to let a passenger in, and nothing happened!!

My brother has recntly bought an RSi and today i put on a new pipercross induction kit for him, but when i took off the standard air box, the hose behind it had black oil in it.
later on when i finished the kit, i notice his cooling reservoir was near empty, just under minimum.
took it out...

Was at my mates 21st last night, and as i had to drive i thought id take a load of pics with the D40... The party was on Sandbanks peninsula (sp) i had some good shots.
BUT this morning i plugged my card in, through my hp printer, as i normally do, and all pics are coming up thumbnail size...
Friend of mine just bought a very good Nikon DSLR, which came with a few lens'. so he decided to sell one unwanted lens to his amateur buddy, me!
so i've got his: Nikon DX AF-S nikkor 55-200mm (1:4-5.6G ED)
Its next to new, paid 70 notes for it... im pretty happy, will just have to get some...
RIGHT basically its fooking windy down here in poole, so i thouhgh i'd take my d40 to the harbour, see if theres any windsurfers around.
