I'm in the process of trying to sell my old PH2 172 wheels. I can't find the locking wheel bolts for 2 of them. One is damaged, not sure if it can be fixed? One has been kurbed but still in decent condition and the others are mint. How much are these worth? .

Had a decat pipe fitted to my Ph2 172 last week and all is well apart from when I boot it in 1st and 2nd or pull away on a hill. The car makes a rumbling/grinding noise as if the exhaust is hitting the sub frame?? Thing is there is no play in the exhaust at all. Any idea what it could be?

I've got a whining / whurring noise on my ph2 172 when it's in gear and decelerating. It's fine when accelerating. A garage has had a look today and said the bearings in the gearbox have gone. Which bearings as I can't seem to find the parts anywhere??

I'm getting a really unhealthy grinding noise when I take my foot off the gas and let the car coast in gear. It's really noisy in 1,2,3. Could this be the driveshaft going or is it the gearbox or something else?

Hi, I have got Brembo HC disks and Ferodo pads for the front and standard disks and pads for the back of my 172. Just called a Renault Specialist and they £120 labour to fit them. Seems a bit steep? I was thinking around £50 labour or am I way out?

Got a few problems with my speedo. Basically i'll be driving along and it will die and then burst into life, go wobbly a bit and then be back to normal. If I floor it, the needle does not smoothly rise up the speedometer, it leaps. Is this a problem with the speed sensor? Thanks

Hi I have an aftermarket HU in my 172 and it appears the aerial connection going into the HU has broken. I have been down the scrappy and got one off another Clio but have no idea how i'm getting it onto my aerial wire! It looks crimped on! Any ideas?

Hi, I've got some lowering springs at home which I wouldn't mind having a go at fitting myself. Basically I cba to pay £100 for a garage to fit them. I have very limited mechanical experience but do have the tools to do the job. Would I be able to fit them on my own? Are they difficult to do?
