6 Years, but unfortunatley itll be going soon cos I need a bigger car (Im a family man now).
So if anyones interested I can email a full spec + pictures.
:(
Didnt know where to post this one, so here it is........
How much do you recon this is worth ?
Red 1992 Renault Clio 16v (Irish plate on it now)
89000 miles
Gearbox rebuilt last christmas and new clutch
New disks and pads all round
New wheel bearings all round (fronts just done)...
Had to buy a second hand wiper switch the other day, and it had the "secret button" on it.
So I looked in the workshop manual, and its for headlight washers.
Either a bad connection on the horn ( behind the drivers side fog light), or the horn button needs a good clean ( just keep tapping the horn push to clean the connections).

Yeah, its pretty easy to change the bulb at the back of your temp display.
Just have to unscrew the 5 screws holding the top of the dashboard on, then undo the 2 screws holding the main dials in, carefully pull the clocks towards you and reach round to the back to undo the speedo cable (just...
I think its just a question of finding an early ph1, as a few guys Ive spoken to have said that the back of their dials are clear aswell.
I think Renault decided to change to orange after a while.
Just keep ringing a few local scrapyards to see what theyve got.

Hi Colin, hows the car? I havent seen any pictures recently.
On my car the perspex at the back of the dials is clear, so I opted for white numbers so that I could change the colour of the bulbs at the back to whatever colour I want the numbers to be.
At the moment Ive got it set up with blue...
The outside splines (the ones nearest the wheels) are about 50mm each spline.
But the inside splines (the ones in the middle of the car, where it goes into a piece of metal in the shape of a figure 8) is about 10/15mm each spline.
Hope this is of some help.
Dave
Ive got a Scorpion system on my car, with a straight through cat replacment pipe, and mine pops every time in second gear.
Youll probably need a free flow system with hardly any back pressure to achieve a good pop and a flash.
WOW, I can remember when that was in Maxpower years ago, and when I saw it, I thought POCKET ROCKET me want one.
Pretty sure Ive still got the magazine up in the loft.

Get yourself to http://www.metalmonkey.co.ukhttp://www.metalmonkey.co.uk I think thats right, and get yourself a nice set of stainless steel dials, with whatever coloured numbers you want.
Ive got a set on my ph1 Clio 16v, and I think they look 200% better than any standard or lockwood dial...
I THINK IVE HEARD SOME ONE ON HERE SAY THAT THE 16v MANIFOLD WILL PRODUCE MORE TORQUE, AND THE WILLIAMS MANIFOLD IS MORE OF A FREE FLOW.
BUT DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.
DAVE
The sub frames will go straight in with no probs, but Im not sure if theyll go on to the ph1 seats.
Get yourself down to Willinghams and get the subframe from a bent clio.
Youll have to be able to get under the car at the scrappers because thats where the fixing bolts are on the hand brake...
If you take off any of the plastic trim panels, or pull out the ashtray, youll find a moulded pattern which usually has an indication as to when that part was made, which is pretty much when the car was put together.
Failling that, you could always check the log book to see when it was first...
Yeah, I lowered my car myself.
The trick is to get a couple of cans of wd40 and a wire brush, make sure you give the insides and outside parts of the torsion bar a good going over with a wire brush (to clean of any surface rust), then give all the linkages a good blast of wd40, youve got to do...
The spline on the inside ( where it slides into the bit in the middle of the axle), are a lot smaller than the splines on the outside, so you can adjust the rear suspension a bit more acuratley.
When I first lowered my car, I used the outside splines, but this lowered the car too much. So when...
Mines dropped 60mm at the front and 70mm at the rear, and mine doesnt catch.
The 55mm drop at the rear on 1 spline is if you use the outside splines, I found that if you use the inside splines you can adjust the rear suspension to whatever hight you want.

I usually get around 300miles to a tank full, but with all the hot weather its been around 200/230miles.
The best Ive ever had is just short of 400 mile, after I changed the oil, filter, spark plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm.
The worst mileage Ive had is about 120 from a tank full, but I was...
