    Which free AV?

Hi, I've just uninstalled Norton 360 off my dad's laptop cos it was f**king with the email. In the short term I need to install some kind of free product, was thinking about just going for AVG but wondered whether there are better alternatives out there? Thanks Ric

TV has given up the ghost, time for a new one..

I bought this one at the weekend :) Very happy with it, the picture on the built in freeview is decent enough but not spectacular (as you would expect with basic standard definition), but upscaled DVD's look very good and the sexbox through HDMI is the dogs bollox. For the price, it's...

Integrated Freeview, not Picking Up All Channels?

Might just be a case of moving the aerial about. At my last house I could only pick up a few channels on freeview initially but after turning the aerial round through about 180 degrees I more than doubled the number of channels we got. The place that I'm in now I don't get any of the ITV or 4...

    BT Cancellation Charges

Well, last timeI had a line reconnected I know they charged us £125. They should be able to give you a breakdown of what the £130.99 is made up of??

    BT Cancellation Charges

Not necessarily. More often than not they'll charge to get the line reconected even if all the hardware is installed in the property. Did someone from BT have to come out to get it hooked up? It sounds like this is what has happened tbh
  7. R

    BT Cancellation Charges

IIRC the charge for BT to reconnect a line is around £125 so it could be that this is what you've been charged for.

    BT Cancellation Charges

So have they actually cancelled the line? Or activated it?

    Anyone recommend some 13cm co-axials?

Hi, don't usually venture into this part of the site any more but I'm currently on the look out for some 13cm co-axials for circa £100. Favourite at the moment are the Rainbow SL130's but thought I'd open it to the floor before paying up. Anyone had any experience of the Rainbow speakers or...

    Second hand business PC's

A friend of mine is setting up a small office for a company he's starting up. Only need three machines, nothing to high spec as its all going to be basic office work. He's asked me about getting second hand kit. I've only had experience of new PC's and am a bit concerned about buying second hand...

New compact camera for under £150?

Hi, I’m in the market for a sub £150 compact camera. I’d like something as flexible as possible, would rather pay for a good quality lens over a high megapixel count. I would also preferably like something which will allow a certain amount of manual control over shutter speeds etc. However...

Can't remember the model number of what he had before but it was a 43" rear projection jobbie. Bloody massive thing with the stand and speakers. Think it was a Panasonic or Samsung.

    TV Help/Recommendations

My mate has broke his TV and is putting through an insurace claim. The replacement they've offered him is a Panasonic TH42PX8B 42" Plasma. I don't really know much about TV's but the Panasonic plasma's are supossed to be pretty handy aren't they? Basically, is there another TV or similar price...

    Japfest 2008

I was there. Didn't get any decent pics tho as all I had was my misses' crappy compact camera. I was suprised how many NSX's were there, must have been most of the ones in the country there!! The Evo X in white looked awesome, which is suprising as the others I've seen on the road have looked...

    Excel problem

Another excel problem! I’m trying to setup a macro in Excel that will import data into a worksheet where the date is greater than a date field that is defined in the worksheet. This is what I’ve got to work with: Sub update() Dim StartDate As Date StartDate = Range("C3").Value...

    A Dutch Weekend

Only thing I'd say about your parade pictures is that if you'd taken the photos from the other side of the road all of you pictures would have had much more natural sinlight and the colours would have subsequently been brighter. As it is, most of them are in the shade. Your flower pictures are...

    Excel query help

I’ve got a basic Excel macro which runs a select query on a Datasource and dumps the result into the worksheet. One of the fields it picks up is a date field. Does anyone know how I can amend the code so that it will only bring back entries where the date field entry is from the last 30 days...

    Settign up an 0845 number

    Settign up an 0845 number

    Settign up an 0845 number

Thats spot on. Are there any charges for changing the forwarding number? How long does it take between placing the order and finding out what number you're going to get?? Sorry for the questions but I need to get something ordered today so its all go at the mo lol! Cheers Ric

    Settign up an 0845 number

Its hard to say at the moment because I'm getting it setup for a new company. In all honesty I can't see it having a large amount of throughput over the next six to twelve months at least. So what you're saying is I can get an 0845 number free and receive a small kick back on every call...

    Settign up an 0845 number

Has anyone got any experience of setting up an 0845 number? I need to get one and divert it to a land line number. There are loads of places online to choose from but I'm just looking for recommendations of a good company to use so I don't get ripped off. Also are there any typical hidden...
