I am in the process of purchasing a brand new Road angel 2 for 300 quid, but I have a question to any road angel users who have a 172 or a 182. Do you need to pay the extra 19.95 for the external antenna or is the signal strength good enough throuh the UV windscreen ?? Thanx in advance Mark. :)

Yeah it used to sound V nice, I had the full cat back system and it wasnt too loud and not annoying on the motorway at all, did find adding the K&N 57i induction kit made quieter on the motorway.

If I remember right when I have my 16V the Haynes manual didnt cover it so I ended up buying the Halfords own manual, wasnt as good as a haynes but was something.

What you having fitted Full system / back box? Oval or twin ??

Direct from Magnex via a contact at Aston Martin, We put a lot of work thier way so have managed to get a discount because I work for Jaguar ( all part of the same group ).

Yep exactly what has happened to mine twice !! You need the centre section of exhaust replacing, its a very very common fault and is covered by your warranty.

I was told by my local dealer ( Renault Birmingham ) when I brought it that things like zorsts that were classed as wear and tear items wernt covered by the warranty so you could replace them.

Looks cool, still undecided between the Twin or the Oval !!! I have been told that having the full system makes no difference than if you have the back box on its own unless you decat it, is that true ?? :confused:

I always thought that modern petrol had the same or simalar cleaning agents in it to redex??? May be wrong, not sure !!! Plus 172s are reccomended to use 98 RON fuel anyway, Just use Shell optimax in every tank, I have found it to give a bit more power and I now get on average 30 - 40 miles...

Also check for the dodgy sensor that causes the SERV and Airbag lights to come on the dash board for no reason. Also have heard of a few that leak serious ammounts of water in through the back window. As VivJ said none are serious jobs and are all covered by you warranty so dont let that put...
