When i had my windscreen replaced in the 172 the RAC used a UV protective windscreen but it had a green tint instead of purple. It still had the small square in the bottom of the screen though. I thought theyd put the wrong one in but they said its manufactured by themselves and not renault so...

My Mk2 172 ran a 14.61 @ 94.5mph standard with the rear seat and spare wheel removed. AFAIK this is the fastest standard 172 run, but probably one of the most problematic. (I drove it like i stole it!) You should expect between 14.8 and 15.3 standard to be honest. Kev. Ps I will be running...
