Yes, the guy whos hedge you damaged can claim off your insurance. as long as everything is valid, and mods declared etc. It isnt ideal though, because not only will he lose his no claims, he will also have a claim against his name, which, in the first year of driving, isnt good. hell get stung...

I also dont like it. It looks like loads of other cars Ive seen, where lexus lights (or clear lights) are the only mod that they can be bothered to fit. A guy at work has got a mk4 fiesta, and the only mod is some clear lexus lights. It looks w**k. There are loads of cars around like this...

most valvers are like that. The Willy track is wider, so they fill the arches more.

Cool, my missus is called Charlie, and Im Chris. as above, if you are married, go for it. insurance will be loads cheaper. mine went down by a few hundred quid when I added the missus, even though she had only been driving a few months.

I think you can swap the whole front subframe from a 16v? as long as you have valver arches? The 16v rear beam doesnt fit a non 16v rear arched car though, so the handling wont be quite as good as a valver.

Very very nice! what is the plan for the grille? is it staying like that? I think a colour coded phase 1 grille would look good. Also, is it possible to smooth the bumper rubbing strips out?

I wouldnt bother with the valver conversion, unless you have a complete valver as a donor car, so you can swap the brakes etc. iirc, you still wont be able to fit the rear beam though. I would defo buy a 172 if I could, but at 18, the insurance could sting a little!

what type of clio? mk1 valver? or a mk2?

did you just spray them with normal spray paint? If so, then even if they are legal, Im sure there wont be much light coming through. Could you take a pic at night with the tail / brake lights on? Also, be wary of people driving into the back of you, because they cant see you braking!

with different rear lights, that could look very nice IMO.

Because there is a chance he would lose, and then hed have to give his car away.
