How common are they to leak air?
Got the full lot on order form Renault Wolverhampton , but is it the seals that f**k up in then or just age?
i know it's got to be air making my dci die or hunt on idle as the fuel likes look Like an expresso
Anyone know if you can buy the clips that hold the fuel injector to fuel rail seperately from motor factors or does it have to be renault? also whats clip the securing clip called? mines gone missing while removing rail..
cheers
I saw this in New York on the TV when it was on live and completely forgot about it till yesterday.
Thought I'd share it as it's pretty amazing, there's a slow mo on there too!

Hi all
got a problem
fitted bigger throttle body to my 2002 172 at weekend and all was well untill it just stopped when I looked the map sensor in the air intake the plug had come loose so cleaned connections and plugged back in car fired up no problem but was bouncing around on the revs...
Driving the GT home yesterday and the computer seemed to reset itself, I usually leave it on the fuel level screen, which went from reading 150 ish to zero. Checked the other screen and they had all reset, mpg was reading 49mpg (so I knew it had cocked up!). As i was driving the fuel gauge...
Before setting off to work today I looked at the fuel to station gauge which read 170 miles.. upon arriving home tonight the fuel gauge read 93 miles..
Wtf both ways is only 46 miles, where has the 31 miles gone?
I wasn't flooring it either, going the speed limit, 3rd gear to 5th.. 60mph...
On the right hand side of the fuel rail should there be anythink connected on the right hand side where the regulator is ?
i don't remember anythink being connected on the r.h.s but my friend was asking
I have been looking at pics of fuel rail and only see a connection on the left hand of...
I've had a search on here with no joy:(.
What i need is some advise regarding the fuel rail, i'm now starting on the fuel side of my project and need a upgraded alloy fuel rail that will bolt onto the standard inlets with an fixing on both ends.
Can you tell me if a jenvey rail or any other...
Filled up the tank and reset the clock, maybe revved it past 5k once, just normal driving. Looks a bit thirsty to me...i'm hoping the tank gets wider instead of narrower!
Just over quarter of a tank after 90 miles
Averaging 39.7MPG apparently
And 353 miles to go!
Hi
So for the last couple of days my fuel gauge has been acting a little erratic, took the car for a drive today and the gauge indicated I have at least a quarter of a tank left, 10min into the journey the fuel gauge is reading half of that, and by the time I park up on level ground the fuel...
Hi guys, bought myself another Clio, nice black one with a nice bodykit :)
however it wont start
as i mentioned in the title, when you turn the key i dont hear the fuel pump priming anymore. mechanic down the road tested the fuel pump with wires from engine bay to the bit under back seat (i...
Hi guys,
I've done a search but haven't found anything conclusive so thought I'd start a topic. I was driving up to Skye last night and the lights in the title failed... When I searched I found the following thread...
As title suggests...
Just went to collect the car from an 'exhaust' company as I know the OMP Group N was going to struggle on track.
So I've had a new larger back box fitted to try and keep the noise down.
Anyway upon collecting it I noticed the EML light kept on, I thought this is...
I have my 182 sitting on the drive with £60 of petrol and need it in another car
when removing the pump how does it come out? Remove tubes and then twist and pull out?
I dont want to break the pump and have to buy a new one
Wondering where the fuel line is and what it looks like, I know where the fuel rail is but just where the line comes from the tank into the engine.
Funny thing is I'm going to crail this weekend and wanted a near empty tank so it was lighter, but my mum had a shot of my car and has filled it...
Well following on from this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?703938-182-blowing-exhaust-or-is-it
I decided to re-check for blows around the cat area - I revved the car whilst stationary to 6K+ rpm listening for increased noise anything visual in either of the cat joins, as i...
Hi All
I've finally got around to getting my 172 ready to go back on the road/track days. I pulled out the carbon canister to make room for brake ducts and got thinking that it would probably be a good idea to use some sort of fuel vent to let these fumes out. So I searched the forum and it...
Let's say, there's one 'bar' left. About 15l left, does the car use fuel more efficiently to save the remainder of the fuel or does it continue to use fuel as normal? Only reason I ask is, when there's around 1 bar left, the car runs like crap and doesn't pull as good as usual.
Right i know i have given up on my dci 100 but then i started reading into it more, and then after a few mambers spoke to me on here and how awesome the dcis are and the fact that i cant buy another car for £3/400 but can repair mine gave me a teiny weiny bit of hope that maybe gave me the uhmm...
Very simple. I've replaced the lower inlet and have put the fuel rail back in but its not full of petrol since its been off the car. Do I just plug the fuel line back in and start the car and the air in the rail will get pushed clear. Or do I need to top the rail up first to get the air out...
Did a trip from Nuneaton to hull today, 130miles or so in total, 80mph no cruise control.
How the hell has it done 130miles on a digit and a tinny bit?
Nearly every other dCi I've driven doesn't even do that lol
as above been looking at getting another clio seen a few nice 182's but ive also seen a few nice 197's and 200's for a couple k more just wondering what are they like to drive which is the best of the 2 or infact 3 and are they as bad on fuel as some people say?
many thanks
Hi
I realise I am asking a q's that been asked thousands of times, the search brought up horror story's of spark plugs flying out engines etc.
I thought I best check as I don't want to ruin my new 182 but is 95 octane rated fuel ok for the daily drive? (Texaco Premium Unleaded)
As the garage...
When the itb's got fitted the clip that plugs into the renault fuel rail got cut off flush with the metal insert in the pipe (just behind the clip). I want to go back to the renault fuel rail so I've bought 2 new clips from Ktec.
My issue here is that the metal insert is now flush with the end...
Basically ive had my 182 for a year now with no problems, 83k on the clock, always serviced with good oil , plugs done etc, had a cambelt kit fitted 5000 miles ago aswell by a Renault specialist.
The problem I'm having has taken me off the road for a month now, have had it in a garage for 3...
