172/182 with Cams RR Data results

  Schrick´d 182
Hi everybody,

Has anyone Rolling Road results/diagram or a Acceleration Video from a Clio 172/182 fitted with these Cams?

Cat Cams 428
Schrick Camshafts

Me interesting the Power/Torque Graph with these Cams.;)

How much HP can i get with these Cams, Professional Headwork,Exhaust and Sports Cat,custom Induction and remap on a Dyno on a clio 182?

195 with the Schricks?

  182
well with schricks and custom map i gained 20bhp from 6800rpm through to 7800 and 12bhp @ peak. however the car was already fitted with matched inlets decat panal filter and already had a custom map too lol

lost a little torque low down though, the car only produced more power above 5k rpm,,,

it depends on what rollers you use really - concentrate on the gains and the spread of the power not the peak figures - dont go chaseing them.

as standard my 172 cup made 156bhp, with cams etc this rose to 177bhp. Once the blowing manifold was detected and sorted it finally made 192bhp :) and was bloody rapid. I have a video of the speedo on my old laptop will try and dig out...

Ah so it was your manifold that was the prob. Exhaust or inlet? Really pleased you finally got it sorted and got a impressive figure buddy.

nice one mate it was the exhaust. had enough poke to keep an evo 4 honest and keep f0xy's hybrid in the rear view :)

unfortunately the car has been sold now but the AMG compensates :D hatching a plan to get myself a ph1 and **** it hehe

Nice gains those from the schricks and map :approve:

Who did your mapping, out of interest?

@ rob clio172rs

Me interesting in this Thread only the Power/Torque Graph between this 2 Camshafts, i will not a " how much hp can i get...." thread;)

@ TooneySonic

Sounds Good,
a speedo video of your old Cup would be perfect :D

I get the Car mapped by

htr-development

or by a Ingenieur by Carlsson (Mercedes Tuning Company)

in Germany there are not so many companies is on renault specialized:dapprove:

has anybody a Power/Torque diagram from these Camshafts on a 172/182 with std. inlets?

In about 2 weeks we'll have all sorts of graphs from Catcams & C&Bs, all live mapped by Henk @ fastchip and benchmarked at TOTD in uxbridge (all on standard inlet manifold).

Depends on the Cams and the Map really.

My Cams are £1k~ new and the map is £345+VAT.

Secondhand Cams can be had for £500~, so all in for £1k is do-able if you have patience.

@Da - i used RStuning mate both times - paul was an absolute perfectionist with my car and it showed, cannot recommend highly enough, only 40mins from manchester too

i wouldn't say that, its hard to know for sure how much the blowing manifold was costing me in the first place - around 15bhp... going from the graphs

What torque figure did you peak at in the end Tooney? Sorry to ask again but was it the gasket or cracked or damaged manifold?

That's reassuring as that's who I'm booked in with - thanks :)

It looks like the labour for fitting cams is the killer! Getting them fitted costs the same as the actual cams! Lol. Can Paul at RStuning fit them? I wonder what he charges if he does..

It's easier to combine with other work, like the cambelt for example. My Cams are getting fitted for less than £100 which I think is very reasonable but then I'm having other stuff done at the same time so engine will already be partly stripped down.

I don't think Paul does fitting of the Cams.

Its not much more labour to swap the cams if you are doing the cambelt by the book, as you would be loosening the pullies. They can just be taken off and the rocker cover taken off while you're there.

I removed them from Tooneys for him and it didnt take long at all. Then they went in and out of mine twice when I was having ECU issues...but then decided to get rid of them and spend the money on other stuff. Standard engine goes well enough for me in mine!

paul could fit the cams if he wanted or had the time but he usually sends the car for stuff like that doing to his dads which is a renault specialist and has the tools time them up correctly, we had seen so many turn up for mapping with timing issues and had to get them timed correctly before he could map them. im pretty sure tooneysonics was one of the cars whos timing was out after the cams had been fit aswell

^ timed by who originally mate? Sounds like the timing problem Kev mentioned in his previous thread where Birchdown had to redo the timing....

Cant remember who fitted them for him, the timing was spot on when I checked it before I took them out though, so not sure who had re-done it if it was originally out

dont know who timed it originally but im 100% sure it was out tooney will hopefully confirm this, i can vividly remember dropping the car off at pauls dads garage,

Pretty sure Tooneys issue was the mystery of a really low bhp figure prior to and after cams etc not timing related?.

I bought all the Renault original tools needed to change the cams and belts got them all for £141 here in Sweden. They had never sold them to a consumer before and did not have a customer price. So I got them for netprice+vat :D

So thats one way to get away cheap :rasp:

Can anyone say me the right Timing for Schrick Cams (288/280) on a Clio 182?
Like the Standart Cams?

Schrick Cams, RS Tuning remap, YozzaSport exhaust and (at the time) an ITG panel filter.
