Suppose I had better update with what I did to the car before I went to the Isle of Man.
It was mainly electrical stuff for the extra lighting.
3 new Relays, wiring and switches for the Gas discharge lamps and the LED light bar.
New relay and codriver foot operated switch for horns.
New LED interior light.
New flexible map light.
Wiring from the electronic speedo to the new Monet Trip meter and power wiring.
New wiring to the intercom.
Power wires are now run through a new multi fused busbar mounted on a new panel along with the ODB port and lighter socket.
LED light bar bolts onto the bonnet into a couple of stainless rivnuts and the cable goes through a grommet and plugs underneath.
The Gas discharge lamps are bolted onto a rail along with the ballast packs so they can be removed in one piece. They just have some bonnet stays that attach to the bonnet with 2 R clips, and the wires are on waterproof plugs into the ballast packs.
This means that after the night stages I can unplug and remove all lights quickly and easily.
When I first fitted the lights. I have since sprayed the lamps anthracite and brackets black so they look better
Interior light and flexible map light
New trip meter - with titanium mounting bracket! !
New lights switches, painted the panel, new lower plate with fusebox etc
Also before I went I fitted new bottom arms, a new cv boot, had it tracked again and swopped tyres so I had all my rally tyres on my rims.
As per usual it was all last minute stuff as I had to make sure I got to the ferry in time.
