looks good sunbeam! hope it was worth the hassle, is that a bit of leaf on the mount?

not a bit of leaf green paint. ill let u no if it worth doing after a bit more driving in it. can you please get in contact with me about the shocks!

My parents have the same bin at home.

The Now magazine isn't yours is it?

Anyway your other mounts will wear out quicker now unfortunatly.

Still its worth it for the reduction in movement.

You'd need to realy mess it up. I'd make recomendatons but if they don't work and you have a good box (by chance) then you'd just end up with Renault not doing it and have a worn out box.

Anyway a new/second hand box isn't much anway fitments not to bad. Plus you've got the JC3 box which is strong enough realy.

Thought the 1.4 uses the JB1 box ?
Can't be that strong as the input shaft oil seal failed on mine after 3 yrs and 28k, i'm sure that shouldn't happen. Could just be a freak event I suppose though, and it drives better than it even has since changing it and replacing the clutch was a pain in the arse to get the gearbox back together though.

Ooops sorry forgot it is a 1.4 yep your right the 1.4 use the JC1 box which isn't that good for the 1.2s.
Oil seals arn't a sign of the gearbox strenght though.

actually i already have this twisted mount. Think im still going to buy a spare to fit the powerflex bushes to, let me know what you think after a little more driving. Is vibration into the cabin more noticable?

Yep, mines a twisted mount too. Seems more solid than my old 1.2 but still isn't the best.

True I suppose, as the gearbox itself and the syncros were still in perfect nick no wear or damage at all. Just one of those things I guess, still didn't please me best.

right the car feels really good, there was some vibrations when your just sitting still, but its starting to get better and better, well worth it i think.
